£2 parking surcharge by money grabbing council in London

So it's started, Islington council are surcharging diesel drivers £2 to use their cars parks.

Is this fair or are they jumping on the anti diesel bandwagon to make a money grab?

I really doubt that people will stop using diesels just because of this charge so I can't see how they claim it will improve pollution levels or act as a deterrent.

This is just money grabbing, there is no policy here, it will not reduce the amount of diesels on the road, just force them to pay more.

The motorists will always be taxed, they gave free tax to LEV vehicles, now we've all switched to it, they are charging again.
