Hello,

I own a 2.0 16v mk2 megane and have the done some modifications to it to gain a little more power: stainless cat back and cold air fed induction kit.

I now want to add a turbo from a 225 onto it...

can people please suggest anythin to consider or major flaws with this..

I thought maybe brakes and gearbox maybe a trouble but as its already a good speced 2.0 it may not be a problem, im guessing the 2.0 lump is the same as the turbo'd one!

cheers

the block itself may be the same but the internals wont be. you cant just bolt on the turbo. try and source the whole engine as this will save you changing the pistons, rods, crank.
the gearbox might be up to the job again but remember that its designed for less torque, its the torque that will kill the clutch and possible the box.

I think PG meant to say Cant just bolt on the turbo.

A full turbo engine swap is the best way to go otherwise you have to put up with a low pressure turbo and a lot of technical issues including a custom remap.
