A mate of mines 93s clutch is on the way out. He asked me if the 93, 900, 9000, etc clutches are transferable. I had no idea so I thought I'd jump on here and ask around. His engine is the redtop, if this makes a difference.

Thanks folks

Found this on a site.

Both these models use the same clutch.
Saab GM900 2.0 turbo -1998
Saab 9-3 2.0 turbo (inc. lpt) - 1998-2003

If he want an uprated clutch then get a clutch for a 9-3 Viggen.

I dont suppose you know where the resevoir is do you. I cant find it for love nor money

What resevoir? I know these cars like the back of my hand by now.

I am assuming you are located across the ocean (forgot to look), but I have a 9-3 clutch if your buddy still needs it. Wayne's info is correct. 1998 900's and 1999-2002 9-3's used the same hydraulic clutch setup. 2003 convertibles also used the same setup.

A 9-3 viggen clutch + pressure plate setup is more heavy duty, and will hold higher power levels than the tranny can usually take. A 6puck or stage 2 clutch can be found at genuinesaab.com, but at 220hp, those are far unneeded. My car is putting down 230 wheel horse power, and I have upgraded my cable clutch setup to the hydraulic clutch setup of the 9-3, and I have no issues at all.
