hi to all that reads thread
my drive shafts have just gone on my a3 turbo and was wondering if the higher specs have got better ones on that will fit mine?

A general point re driveshafts. All driveshafts twist during their lifetime. This is normal, otherwise they would snap. The trick is to know when they have twisted to the point where they are about to snap. The accepted safe limit is half a turn, 180 degrees.

A simple racing trick to monitor this is to paint a white line along the length of the visible shaft. This gives a visible indication of the amount of twist.

If the amount of shaft visible is only 50% change the shaft once the line has twisted 90 degees.

dont think they are. then again there are those running in the 400s that still use the standard ones
