The worst cars colour you have owned

just to add to that, though when it was clean, 17" alloy wheels in all, it did look awesome! :)

The worst cars colour you have owned

probably black so far for being a pain to keep clean and for showing every scratch and swirl like its in high definition!

ouch !!!! a stark reminder that excessive speed kills

Driving like an idiot kills, and not just the drivers, inncocent people get killed because of it too! If he drives like a tw** then he should realise what the consequences are, which he did, I have no pitty for people like that, if he survived he should have to pay the bill for clearing up the...

    Lacetti 1.8 cdx clutch burn?

Ok, I was in Leeds yesterday for the Red Bull Flug Tag Air Festival, and on leaving I got stuck in traffic due to road works of some kind, and as my sat nav wasn't playing ball (much to my disapointment) I ended up back in a cue of traffic twice which was on a bit of a climb, so after a lot of...

    Your thoughts on Bikers

Friend of mine has a civic type r and he had a bike following him close behind on a country lane, and it wasn't like he was hanging around either, and as he went round a corner, he came up to some slow moving traffic, he was able to stop but the bike wasn't and he lost control, just missing his...

    Your thoughts on Bikers

bigger bikes are easier to ride now days than they used to be, I remember the old fireblades and gsxr's and even the lethal R1, they used to be properly scary bikes, I knew someone who bought a brand new fireblade back then and he was too scared to ride it! Todays versions are smaller more...

    Wider Tyres?

haha! I think I'm more confused now then when I first asked :toung: I don't want 17" wheels on this car, had them on my last car, they do feel good for driving feel and look good too, but they do make the ride bumpier, and this car seems to be bumpy enough at the moment. If I have to change...

    Wider Tyres?

Thanks Skullion, I'll have a look and see if I can see it with a torch. Thinking 225's might be pushing so 215's maybe instead

Where Do We All Park Our Cars?

I park on a drive at home At work I always try to park away from other cars as I work in a school and the teachers tend to all carry there work round in tubs and big satchels, which scrape down the sides of cars, and then they load everything onto the back seats knocking the door into the car...

its the saloon version if that makes any difference to weight, but I get your point

    Wider Tyres?

I'd imagine the wheels are pobably 7" ones, I don't know if I can get an acurate measurment while the tyre is on the wheel. I think my best bet will be to pop into a tyre fiiters and ask them what they think,
  12. M

    Wider Tyres?

fair point, I have noticed it doesn't feel heavy when I drive it, apart from the rolling suspension! but being the same size as a mondeo or laguna which I've seen with those tyres fitted standard, I thought the 225's would be ok

    Big economy or small power

personaly I'd prefer big engines with big economy and low or no polution, but I guess thats too much to ask. I suppose as long as you get the speed, acceleration and thrills then it doesn't really matter, maybe a nice engine noise too
  14. M

    Big economy or small power

yeah I remember watching that and I was laughing my head off at the prius failure on economy! :toung: M3 wins!

    Wider Tyres?

I'm moving this thread I originally posted in the chevrolet section as it will probably be better placed here under "General" my original post was - "Is it possible to fit wider tyres on the wheels I have? or would I need to buy a new set of alloys? I currently have 205/45/R16 on the wheels...

    Wider Tyres?

I seem to remember when I had a 200sx that a tuning company in warrington said I could put 245 tyres on it, and I had 225 tyres on at the time that came fitted to the wheels, so I thought wheels came with a range of tyre sizes that can be fitted, like size minimum to maximum. I have no idea...

    Wider Tyres?

Is it possible to fit wider tyres on the wheels I have? or would I need to buy a new set of alloys? I currently have 205/45/R16 on the wheels but I'd like to put 225 tyres on if I can. I don't really want to go any bigger then 16" wheels so I don't really want to pay out the extra cash on...

    Wheel spacers or wider wheels?

Thanks, I just don't think 225 will be enough, my brother in law has 225's on his mondeo, and thats as standard, though I haven't seen our cars parked together to compare tyre widths.

    Wheel spacers or wider wheels?

225/40/17 did cross my mind initially, but I suppose I'm just beeing greedy and considering 235 first. what size wheels are are running those on? I had seen some people running 235/35/17 tyres on an 8.5/17 wheel giving it that stretched on to the wheel look, where the tyre wall is at kind of...

    Wheel spacers or wider wheels?

I was thinking 235 at the most, so 235/35/17 I think anything bigger than that will be silly. I've not lowered the car so I don't think they'l rub on the arches, but then I'm not a wheel fitter, so I'll need to go see one for advice like demon tweeks I mentioned, they'l probably better estimate...

    Wheel spacers or wider wheels?

thanks peeps, I'll have a look at the audi oc forum as suggested, and I might pay a visit to Demon Tweeks for more advice and suggestions. I do remember when I ordered my last set of wheels, the place I ordered them from were telling me I shouldn't go over 205 wide tyres for my car, as if it...

    Wheel spacers or wider wheels?

I agree about going for wheels instaed of spacers, and I was wondering about how wide I can go, but I didn't think I'd have that sort of problem, anything else I should know? plus I don't want to go to excessive, just enough to get the right look, shame you can't try before you buy.

    Wheel spacers or wider wheels?

I have an Audi a2, which after 4 years, I have decided to keep for the long term, however I don't like the narrow look of the car, and want to widen its look by having the wheels fill the width of arches to give more of a fat look. I have thought about wheel spacers before, but I'm unsure if...

    Is overtaking antisocial

I'm suprised at the number of clueless drivers that don't seem to notice the enviroment the're driving in, like doing 40mph in a 60 zone and continuing to do 40 when they reach a 30 zone! and drivers that slow down when they reach a speed camera, even though its pointing to the other side of the...

Telling a Megane RS CUP from a standard RS

Know I'm slightly confused, reading this article seems to explain some the questions, and does mention a cup version of a megane rs and also as an option to order on an existing Megane rs. http://www.allvehicles.co.uk/megane_225_cup_trophy_press_release.htm#Cup I've seen alot of Cup versions...

Telling a Megane RS CUP from a standard RS

I understand what you are saying, but if they did that, why haven't they been putting a CUP bagde on the back like the clio? :???: oops maybe they didn't, just checked

Telling a Megane RS CUP from a standard RS

thanks guys for your help. I know the Trophy is only available in silver aswell, and it does have a Trophy badge on it, so the're easy to spot. I'm not sure about the "You are also stuck with metallic paint or red" because I thought at first the cup pack was an add on modification, so people...

Telling a Megane RS CUP from a standard RS

no, it had the same power, the only difference I think is that they changed or firmed up the suspension and fitted brembo brakes.

Telling a Megane RS CUP from a standard RS

Anyone know how you can tell the difference between a Megane RS CUP and a Megane RS by looking at the car? As far as I know, the cup pack was an addon to the standard megane rs, so there's no cup badge placed on the car, so if someones's selling a their car sayings its a megane rs cup, how can...

    MR2 Roadster

I'm after a MK3 one actually, 03 if I can. I don't think they made any with turbo's, not even imports, they're engine mods for the MK3 as far as I can see.

I very much like the sound of that! not seen any turbo editions for sale though, I take it they are imports?

    MR2 Roadster

I’ve driven a rear wheel drive car for my last car (200sx s14a) I liked the slightly tricky at times style, and now I want more. I also want to learn a bit of the side ways stuff so that I can handle the car better if tricky situations were to occur, and from my experience they will. I've...

    I want an MR2

WOW! thats some serious money, I don't think I'll ever have that much to spare for mods! Probably be cheaper to buy a written off mr-s, take the engine out, modify the chassis of your car, and body, to fit a second engine in, then have twice the power!!!! HAHAHA
  38. M

    I want an MR2

Yeah I agree, the later MR2 isn't quite as appealing to look at as the MK2 version, but stick a couple of phat alloys on it, more so on the back, and you've mad and instant improvement! :D "Nearly got one instead of my Scooby till i realised that standard scoobies waste them lol. But yeh not a...

    I want an MR2

I've found some info about this myself which seems to answere the question: "In Japan, the car is called the MR-S, which purportedly is derived from the forementioned designation. Toyota changed the American name to "MR2 Spyder" reportedly because the idea of a car with the nickname of "Mrs."...
