Hi. My engine is the G.M 2.2 tid engine, the later one with ecu ontop of the pump. In standard form this engine produces 125 bhp and 280 n/m of torque. It pulls really well from just below 2000 rpm but thats it from then on as maximum torque is already there.

I have to agree. Clutch, flywheel area I think. I`d be surprised if it was to do with the injection side of things

Have a look on partsforsaab web site as they do various upgrades. I`m surprised that the hircsh set up doesn`t give you more though. Maybe there`s a stage 2 upgrade available from them? -or just sell it and buy one of the twin turbo diesels. You can go to 220bhp with them!

Not heard of a Daytona Saab wheel. Most likely to be off an Aero or Viggen as these were the cars fitted with 17" alloys. How old are they?

Its a 2001 Y reg. the 115 bhp models can be remapped but not the 125 bhp cars. A bigger intercooler might make a 10% improvement but at a high cost. I think the only way is with a box. Abbottracing have done alot of work on their unit and it links into quite a few different places on the system.

But it can`t be remapped. Its not possible to alter it on this car although turbochips in Carlisle say they can do it, but it somehow doesn`t work off the ecu. Its a seperate unit on the fuel pump on this car. Could I adjust the turbo actuator possibly? Abbottracing, Saab tuning specialists say...
