In Holland they used to have 911's(targa),they said it was great for arranging traffic(open roof),yeah right,they just wanted to go fast :bigsmile: Then they switched to Volvo's (855 R's,to be specific):love: (have one myself) and i think something like that says it all(R,S6,Amg)etc,etc...

For me a classic contender is the Clio Williams,had one,boy it was fun:D And a point for the Ford is,they come with that great(Volvo)5-pot engine ,lovely sound :love:

I think matey in the Uk they were called Gordini Turbo,and here (on the old continent;) ),there were Alpines,so the same car. Originally 110 bhp(with a weight of just over 800 kgs :D),pocket rockets. gr,walter

I think that's the same as mine(alpine turbo),but wrong wheels and in a colour they never came in :sad2:(black,white and alpine blue)Lots of work needed to get it wright again.Still a nice classic;)

Waynne,the older T-5's/T-5R/R(850)are all fwd;),the V70 T-5(classic) is fwd and the R's are fwd or awd(choice)the latest versionssame(V70N)only R models are awd. But since mine is the first R(850)means fwd. Gr,walter

When i just had mine,i noticed that when full accelerating you have to keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel(skating/torque steer):lol: So when to decide how much power/torque is usable for an everyday car i will say this 250hp and 350nm wich comes standard is actually a bit too much...

But the real question is offcourse what do you want from a car? Comfort,reliability,power,safety,looks,etc etc.;) If you ask me(but i'm a volvo fan)go for a V70R,then you've got it all,or when your a bit bolder go for like i did,for the daddy,the 850R.:bigsmile: (can't help it,sorry)

As you are in the Uk go for RT-or Kalmar Union,they are the Volvo Tuners.:bigsmile:Go for a MTE-remap,bit expensive but the best around, ask the volvo"freaks" ,i've got it and it's top. :love:

My first car was a 10 year old Renault 5 Alpine Turbo,wich I still own btw,:love: my dad's now retired and restoring it,should take another year or so.

I've fitted my upper engine mount today(ipd),i've had a powerflex one in the past but that gave way too much vibrations,this one though gives none.:)

You're correct,but it's an important little piece,makes your turbo spool up more faster/easier and puts less restrain on it.

It's 3" till the cat,the rest of the system is 2.5"(Ferrita ss):love: gives the car a minimum of 20 horses/15 nm plus.:p

:bigsmile::bigsmile: no the boost-gauge it's too big 70mm.

Houston,we have a problem,can't fit the boost-gauge in the a-pillar mount.(so i have 1 for sale):mad:

normaly the wider diameter gives you a quicker response, let the turbo spool up more easily and gives you more low torque and a few horses aswell(at least mine did)so it's better.:lol: Actually a must have if you have a chipped turbo'd car.:) walter

i have 1 fitted already(narrow-band) and it will be completed with a boost-gauge.:love: and the 2nd gauge: the A-pillar mount for a single one will be a spare,if anyone is interested(specially for 850)

I fiited V70 rear lights,finally and a V90 rear wiper::toung: and upgraded the vauumhoses with sillicone ones::bigsmile: now have to wait untill my double pillar mount arrives so i can fit some gauges.:blink: walter
