Which is the fastest lane in a jam?

Thats just as well, as most normal red blooded fella's i know will be staying just where they are...beside the eye candy.... Think we have a misunderstanding there. There are many advantages to driving something higher..;)

Which is the fastest lane in a jam?

The best lane in a jam is the one just to the left of serious eye candy, preferrably when you're in something large......;)

    Stopping overtakers

If someone wants to overtake me, i let them, strewth, stopped measuring me pecker many years ago, does it matter. If someone's tailgating me, and i assure you i'm not slow, then i pull over to the left and let them go, much rather they hit someone else up the ass if everyone needs to stop all of...

To many cars or too few roads?

Don't worry lads, massive recession coming, thousands possibly millions redundant, house prices halving, country going to the dogs, riots, looting, pillage, fuel getting scarcer and more expensive, wages reducing to keep your job. The roads will be clearer cos only the well heeled (and the...

    Car Maintenance

Here we go. Oil and filters usually half the recommended interval, 4.5K on the hilux, 5K on the older MB, yes i know i'm wasting money and half been told many times, but my motors last for ever so i'll carry on regardless. Hilux is still under warranty so gets the genuine 10/40 semi, very...

What do you listen to in your car?

Suppose i still listen to Alice cooper mainly, been doing so for 36 years, see no need to change now. Will sometimes lighten the air with a little Gilbert and Sullivan (not the twerp with the large flat cap who sang dodgy ballads about Clair). ''I am the master of the sea...'' or ''I am the...

    tires

I do a lot of reading up of reviews from the likes of 'tyretest' etc before spending out. Do keep an open mind on the public reviews like those though, as a new maker could easily get a few cronies to bump up the review count, and many of the comments on the German site are in different...

    Reversing Aids???

Hi Chris I've got the 800MN, dont really worry too much about anyone hitting the back of the truck, but that looks an interesting gadget. The fitting of these took a long time, my mate spent ages getting the sensors precise, but its paid off. Wouldn't believe quite how many wires were...

    Speed trap radar detectors.

I've still got the good old 'drivesmart' GPS dtector, despite the fact drivesmart have all but given up and disappeared, the unit is ugly as hell, the size of a housebrick, but works. The difference between the different brands of gps detector is usually not a lot, except for price and update...

    Reversing Aids???

Got a good leccy friend to fit a 'steelmate' front and rear parking system to the hilux. Seemed a little temperamental at first, but soon settled down, its very accurate and reliable. Comes with tell tale led's for both directions, so the fronts are a very discreet mount on the dash, which...

Can't remap, not sure about tuning box.

Things were so much simpler when you had a good old bosch mechanical pump, half a turn in with the mixture screw and away she goes. Thanks chaps i'll have search for this Apexi thing, and yes it is a (variable vane) turbo.

Can't remap, not sure about tuning box.

Thanks for the replies chaps. This sounds mighty expensive straight away, do you mean replacing the ecu completely, if so where would one make enquiries about this, also this definately sounds like a job best left till the warranty's out. Hdi Fun. Whats this about masking off the...

Can't remap, not sure about tuning box.

Actually i think i'm wrong in calling the Steinbauer a tuning box, its probably a piggy back now i think of it, as it connects to all 4 injectors, and needs various connections from throttle sensor etc.

Can't remap, not sure about tuning box.

Righto chaps and any ladies present too, i'm a newbie here. We've got, but its really georgeous's car, a 07 hilux 3.0 litre auto. Its a good motor and goes pretty well, but the lady would like a bit more overtaking power. After reading this section of the forum, i contacted Celtic to enquire...

    Hello from an older one.

Hi all and thanks for the warm welcome. If i do go down the charger road its got to be a V8 petrol, you can't have a Yankee motor without, it just won't do. On the other hand i'm not a footballer or celebrity, so have to earn me lolly like the rest of you, so i've sort of made meself a rule...

    Hello from an older one.

And i'm not telling how old yet. Don't know how i found this forum, but i've had a read a few times, very interesting the diesel chat forum especially. I usually have unusual motors, at the moment i'm running a 96 W124 MB E320 auto coupe, one of the last of that shape off the line. Lovely...
