What car shows are you going to this year?

I would like to attend French Car Show and Trax, but depends on my mate as I don't know many guys that are really into car shows, especially when they are several hours drive away. Would love to have a car to take too, but if I'm skint I'll just have to take my Berlingo!

Whats the best car youve ever been stuck in traffic with?

Yeah I'm still in touch with him! I was working with him a little bit up untill October, he is currently driving (working on) his golf, which I believe he is converting to a 1.8 20v turbo? Excuse dodgy camera pic.

406 Peugeot exhaust system, possible project, need some advice!

Hmmm unlikely that they would be able to make up a decent manifold I would have thought. I don't know much about the 406, do you know the engine code of your 2.2?

406 Peugeot exhaust system, possible project, need some advice!

4" is way overkill. 2.5" is suitable for a boosted application but personally I'd stick with 2"! I would go for an off the shelf system, but the choice for a 406 will be very limited. A company such a Powerflow (franchised) with make one up to your spec and advise you whats best.

Whats the best car youve ever been stuck in traffic with?

I got stuck behind a 206 race car on a trailer on the M25, was caged and I think fibreglassed body with those paint on lights, hehe. But I remember being stuck in traffic with Nick (faze9327492) when he was driving his birds BMW Mini Cooper and he was harrassing some dude in a Ferrari! No...

    Car wax with colouring

As a general rule, if you run your nail across the scratches and it catches on the paintwork then you will be unable to polish it out. To reduce/remove light scratches you should use a polish (like Autoglym SRP by hand, or ask someone to machine polish it for you), to fill remaining 3mark you...

Seatbelts - do you wear them?

Where abouts do you live? I always wear mine, but normally I reverse out of the drive before I get it on. I did manage to get quite a way down the road before I remembered mine the other day, this never usually happens though. I have friends who's parents still don't really wear them, and I...

    New Clutch

GSF will be able to tell you the brand of the clutch you want, most likely Valeo on a Pug. Can't help with the deglazing issue though! Do you cruise in neutral much? I've heard this can affect the clutch..

    New Clutch

That isn't a bad price for the parts, but try a local motor factors like GSF if you have one near you, it was under £100 for my OE Valeo clutch in the end.

I replaced driveshaft oil seals when I did mine too, would recommend this as they can become quite corroded.

    The Best Peugeot Model

Yeah, I agree, TU engines should definitely stay NA. Can quite easily get a reliable engine with 160/170 BHP, after this then you have to deal with an engine which spits valves and chews gearbox's! Whack up some pics of your GTi if you have any? Did you sell it on to a club member?

    The Best Peugeot Model

I love 106's (almost as much as I love Saxo's and AX's), but for me, the 205 was the most ground breaking of the lot.. The T16 Rally car really was up there with the other Grp B cars from the likes of Audi. The more common GTi's are cool as fcuk too!

Remember that two seperate maps also means two mapping sessions and there likely to be twice the cost every time you feel like a change or modify the car enough to require a new map.

Tyres - premium brands? Are they worth the money?

I used Kumho Ecsta's on my Saxo which cost me around £47 a corner all in. I thought these were okay. I bought some Bridgestone Potenza RE720's from the internet, they cost £45 each delivered, then £10 fitting charge, and these tyres were so, so much better! Worth buying online if you can find a...

I think that generally if you are hit by an uninsured driver your insurance company will pay out for 2/3 of repair costs; then you take the sucker to court and get the rest in $10 weekly payments for the rest of your life ;)

Okay, well then I would suggest an upgrade to 266mm disks, these will fit under standard 14" steel wheels. There are three types, you will need the calipers, carriers and disks, though most will bold straight on, some may require a small amount of modification (a small part needs to be grinded...

Hey man, looking at those photo's in the second article was crazy, I forgot how good I was once! I sold off all of my tools when I sold the Sax. Taking cleaning your car that seriously really takes so much time, effort and money. Future projects will be more performance based! Great...

Meguires car cleaning products - Are they any good?

Yes, as a technique you have the order correct, however, finishing touches such as tyre gel and any black plastics can make alllllllll the difference.
