CDTI - Gear Selector Linkage.... Knackered

Update: The rubber seal (visible from the cabin with the console removed) is held in by a metal plate from underneath (the pins are actually bolts), which is 'hidden' behind the heat shield for the cat. Fingers crossed there are no more nasties keeping the cables in place!

CDTI - Gear Selector Linkage.... Knackered

Hi Guys, I'm needing to replace said part, as the side-to-side movement on my gear stick has totally ceased. Has anyone doe this before? I've got a few reservations about any hidden retaining clips around the bulkhead, and the rubber seal which seems to held in by pins(??) but I can't see how...

    2.2 i-cdti mods?

Thanks for the replies, Yeh, I think exhaust and intake will not be the most likely things to change first, I've read a few things about people bashing uprated panel filters (had one on my 307 XSi and it was fine) just because there doesnt seem to be an intake kit available for this model...

Hi Guys, I've recently bought a Civic (as the title) and I was after a bit of advice on the quickest/cost effective mods I can do, not including a re-map, this is my first venture into Diesel so any help would be appreciated! Cheers

307 XSI - ESP Warning Light

Re: 307 XSI - ESP Warning Light-UPDATE! Decided to take my car to Team Valley Tuning in Gateshead to see if they could have a look on the diagnostics side and it turns out that the position sensor on the steering wheel hub just needed reprogramming after we replaced the faulty comms unit which...

    Pit falls of a 118d 2.0?

Cheers for the reply! I've priced up most of the service parts and they are fairly reasonable. Only thing I am wondering is; if I buy a version with the Xenon 'angel eye' headlights do I have to replace the whole lamp if it goes off?? that looks expensive!

307 XSI - ESP Warning Light

Hi Guys, This has me and my dad completely stumped!! It's either going to be incredibly simple or more complicated than we have so far investigated! The problem is, the ESP warning light comes on when I drive over 5mph in a straight line (that will be improtant later on). It started after I...

Thanks for the relpy, Probably should of mentioned i've already got a replacement panel filter, that was the first thing i did :). Peugeot 307 XSi Gearbox

I did briefley think about the clutch because its done those miles on a single clutch if it was never changed before i bought it... I'm going to check the oil level to be certain but it should be fine really, oil was changed about 20k ago when I put some ZX-1 in my gear box.

    Peugeot 307 XSi Gearbox

Cheers for the replies. Yeah 81k isnt a lot and i'm assuming but I'm pretty sure its my gear box tbh. The problem started with a loud whining in 3rd after a lot of driving now its progressed to a rattling/grinding noise all the time in any gear (less when the clutch is down) except 3rd really...

    307 ABS fault etc, etc

Hi Guys, Please bare with me.... I've had a previous thread on here about the mysterious ABS Fault that seems to be quite common with Peugeot whereas the ABS seems to want to cut in while your braking from even slow speeds but then ABS & ESP warnings all appear telling me they are now not...

    03' 307 ABS fault

Hi Guys I've been getting the ABS cutting in when i'm braking normally then above about 30mph the warnings come on saying ABS, ASR.... etc aren't working and the brakes work fine (although I haven't tried as yet to see if the ABS will still come on if I brake sharp enough). I've removed and...

    '03 307 2.0ltr

I must admit when I was reading up about them it seemed really backwards to be putting dirty exhaust gas back to the cyclinder, albeit a very small percentage. Surely most tuners and even performance factory cars must get rid of them!?

    '03 307 2.0ltr

Thanks for the reply. No not since this started happening. Last night I was changing the pads so just out of interest I took the top of the throttle body to have a look at the butterfly valve and the underneath of the valve and the walls of the pipe below it where covered in a thin wet jet...

    Is Diesel 'cheap' muscle?

Definately for twisty roads generally petrols are alot easier and more fun to drive given their wider power bands. But diesel is definatley king of motorway crusing in my opinion. I suppose it comes down preference, I personally enjoy the meaty sound of a (newer) diesel and I haven't driven...

    Is Diesel 'cheap' muscle?

Of course, a big V8 is the dream. But if your wallet isnt that big but you still enjoy low revs and a lot of torque...... Plus the economy and relative ease of tuning like you say to big power gains is Diesel the next best thing?

Peugeot 307 Auto Dimming rear view Mirror

Checked my reverse light and its fine. I've tried covering the rear (Front) sensor with my finger before still but no joy. I would expect if there is a problem with the sensors or maybes if the electrochromic layer isn't reacting then its just going to need replacing.

    307 Wheels

I drive an '03 307 and I've got 18" Wolfrace Pro Sprint wheels on it, 18's because they dont look to small in the big Peugeot arches with standard suspension and aren't so big they'll look stupid if it gets lowered.
