    Check Engine Light

Vehicle: 1996 BMW 318ti m44 1.9L motor. Had the battery disconnected for a few days while servicing the vehicle for a few things and handling some project work. While the battery was out I fully charged it (Optima Yellow top). When I installed the battery back and put the car back together to...

If its not one thing its another...

Ok so I got to the bottom of the problem. I am a very good trouble shooter so I didnt want to just say for sure that the 20pin harness was the fault without a proper round of troubleshooting. It's a good thing I did because the problem wasnt the 20 pin after all. The K-Dcan cable ended up being...

If its not one thing its another...

Ehhhhh. for an 11 dollar piece I'm not even goin to go through th trouble of gettin a refund. I will just order one today from elsewhere and just dissect the one I have here to see if I can find out what the issue with it. I suspect the tiny wiring they used inside. Soldering looked shotty...

If its not one thing its another...

So I thought I was on to something once I ordered the K-Dcan cable and BMW software for diag and coding. The cable was working for like 3 days then all of a sudden it wouldnt communicate with the vehicle any longer. In hindsight I do remember, each time at first when i was using the cable to...

    General Module Issues

The EWS is not detected as virginal. I'm guessing the car isnt recognizing the EWS as original anymore? That sucks. I have to look into the syncing procedure. My gut is telling me its that!

    General Module Issues

It was my first time using this program and I must admit I am not as computer savvy as I would like to be. I have a lot to learn but I'm ready for the task. I was able to locate the faults in the EWS that are causing the no start issue. I dont really understand what the mean so I ran them...

    Static or bagged set up?

I was just doing some research on adjustable coilovers. Have u heard of BC racing? Out here they are considered a great brand for the money. A set for this car from their BR series would run right under 1k usd shipped

    My current project build

I really appreciate this comment. I was really proud of those seats. I think a nice interior can really make a car stand out. I was looking into maybe some over fenders in the future for an aggressive look. The next mod I'm looking to do is lower the car. I'm now considering coilovers.

    Steering rack replacement??

    Static or bagged set up?

Is a static set up recommended? I dont really see myself needing to make many adjustments in rude height. Just as long as I dont scrape around too much I'd be fine at a set lowered height that's looks good for the car and handles well.

    HID product review (Bavtoys Orionv4)

Hey e36 owners. I wonder how many of us are in here. Headlights dont leave us with an extreme amount of options. If u own a set of Depo headlights and are looking for a set of HIDs I have a review on a brand called Orionv4. I got them from a company in Florida called Bavtoys.

    My project: 97 e38 740il

I learned the hard way that BMW used different plugs for the seats on different model years of the e38. BMW sure knows how to start a party, not!! So some years have a black harness some have yellow. They do not match up so ur screwed if u got the wrong seats cause they wont plug and play. Thank...
