The site is really odd looking but thank you for the link, at least i got the name i can look for :D
The OEM ones i got make the car behave like a boat, literally, sitting in the car at a red light i swing my leg out of boredom and the entire car shakes left to right noticeably lol not to...
Thats one hell of a pain to go through for one person, i hope youre feeling better now.
I have a 206 too, i love it to death but its a hdi. As soon as i get my hands on a garage of any kind ill be either modding it or swapping something nonsensical in it, whatever comes first lol.
I was meaning...
You would have to find people that tune this engine or rebuild them, forums or mechanic shops and ask them what the stock engine can handle in terms of power. It's also wise to ask about the transmission, how much torque it can handle and such so you dont make costly mistakes, all of it is a...
You would need to find out what others say about internal parts, what power they can handle stock, then stay under that number and wiggle in a turbo or completely rebuild the engine for turbocharging. Which one would you go for in that sense?
Going from NA to turbo is a bit hard, there is the problem of compression ratio, internal components and their strength, intake piping and oil feed for turbo etc just bolting it on the engine would probably blow it up, what are you after power wise, can you tell me more about the engine?
IDK if you need any of these but these guys are the only ones making mods for pugs and the like, sharing is caring i guess :)

Well in that case just do a remap and blank the EGR with a plate (if you can blank it, sometimes it pops the check engine light which can be annoying to some). A good tuner should be able to push 10-20hp but be advised to take good care of the car, shorten the yearly oil change to every 9-10...
I've seen people remapping and blanking the egr valve to get about 120hp reliably, for more you would need to get the dpf removed and install a slightly bigger fmic, probably from a 2.0 renault, there should be plenty to pick out + probably bigger injectors, depends on what you want to use it...
Fast forward a couple of months of hobby research and planning i managed to refine my ideas into 2 somewhat concise designs. I've come to appreciate how nice it is here and how people are enthusiastic about car stuff because many of the other sites i've asked around were downright toxic in...
Diesel tuning is easy, the only problem is legalities of it. If you remove EGR and DPF you get 10-20% more power right there with a remap (in some cases even better fuel mileage), but upgrading the turbo, injectors and intercooler would result in easy double the stock power after a proper remap...
From what i could gather, the filter will obstruct the flow no matter how you put it but by how much only engineers could know. On paper a bigger filter with more holes should be better than its smaller counterpart but literally nobody tried it, everyone is just stock or filterless, nothing...
Generally speaking, its just shy over 60hp if im correct, if its an NA engine, the most you can do is get close to 100hp with increasing the air/fuel combo. That may be from bigger injectors, porting the intake/exhaust, bigger valves etc but that is a bit too much money right there if done...
Just remember, swaps are always legal when done legally lol
Also you can look at it this way, some countries used to or still do incentivize swaps in a way because newer engines pollute less with all the tech involved so as long as you dont go full locomotive action rolling coal, you should be...
Make sure to buy some boxes and make labels on them as you dismantle things, makes life so much easier as there will be a ton of small parts and other things. Also taking pictures before dismantling is a smart move i've found too many times too late lol
Yep, EGT's are no joke when you start boosting things :D
I forgot to mention that wraps could be a potential fire hazard, because you never know the quality of it unless there is something backing up that products claim. I've seen people make aluminum heat shields of their own and similar stuff...
Unless you get a truly verified thermal wrap of high quality, ceramic coating would be your best bet (but even then i advise caution), i mean, you can do the cheap wrap too but its going to degrade quite fast but you can wrap another one, depends on your budget and cost of said wraps and their...
Whalecome to the forum, if you want you can share the engine code of your car so maybe someone can give precise feedback with performance but like obi said, best mod is suspension mod, makes a world of a difference :D
Thanks obi, i've read a lot of the posts here and ive gotta say you guys did a tremendous job on providing info for your regular gearheads. I'm quite grateful for all of it because it led me to other things so now i can do my research more accurately.
The AGU i remember a few years back riding...
I forgot to mention a few points of interest
- Any help with which VW 1.8t or 2.0t would be the best go-to option or even the famous 5cyl designs would be greatly appreciated as im not fluent in german petrol engines, engine code wise and aftermarket wise.
- Any advice, tips/tricks from people...
Yeah, my wife isnt exactly fond of my thinking lol, anyway, if i were to go down the Peugeot route i would face an interesting fork in my endeavor, a standard 4cyl GTI engine on these from factory makes only about 130hp but the one i want is a special edition that has about 180hp, the only way i...
Hello fellow petrolheads, i have a rather meek question about engine swap choice, the car in question is a Peugeot 206 which i would like to mod for my own enjoyment.
The contenders that i have in mind are, starting from biggest to smallest, the stock PSA v6 engine ES9J4S (NA~210hp), stock PSA...
I was secretly hoping you meant a sequential shifter lol something quite of a common term in bike engined cars or motorcycles in general as a mod. Would you share where you got yours btw?
