great work as usual, cant wait for the 40 ford project to get started.

this is where its up to, rads in, inner wings all done, fuel tank and fuel pump in and the exhaust is all done. i have also mounted the fuse box and i am on with the job of wirin g it up.

more pics, as i said custom made chassis with xj40 jag running gear, the body has all custom made floors, wheel tubs and bulkhead.

heres the new project, its a vw type3 fastback, its a 72 with a 67 front grafted on and placed on a custom made chassis with a rover v8 in the front. i will get some more pics on in the next few days.

hi all, not been on for awhile but i have been busy. i have another build on the go and i am in the process of up grading the cortina . should i put the new build on as a separate build or put on with this build. hope your all well and staying indoors.:)

yes im well into the bodywork now and only 2 or 3 weeks away from paint, the car will be purple again but much darker and im having another colour matched which im hoping will be sorted this week. will post some more pics once i have some real progress.

alot done tonight, both sides blocked out,two heavy coats of filler premier and a guide coat.

with all the panels lied up its now on with the bodywork. got a good couple of weeks on it now so should get through a lot of it.

thanks sapph1, not posted for awhile but car is now in the final stage of welding and will be body worked over the next few weeks and xmas. hoping to have some paint on in the new year.heres some pics more or less complete down at the nsra supernationals in august.

i used a bead roller to work the chequered pattern into the metal.

not posted for abit but quite a bit of progress has been made. all the floors and bulkhead are now in .fuel tank nearly done with just top to weld on. and the car sits exactly how i wanted it. also a couple of pics of the floor panels. more soon

hi marshyboy, i have used 2mm wall 100x50 box. have only gone this thin as i have a full cage built to it to add strength. would use aleast 3mm without the cage. hope that helps. make a good project a zephyr, good luck with it bit of an update, floors going in. more soon

cheers t9, im still living those days. engine is now almost ready to run. all the last bits have been welded up inside the shell and its now welded on. next is to start making all the new floor panels and to sort a pedal box. more soon.

not posted for a bit but still on it, seats now in. column and steering wheel in, also starting to sort engine to get it running. got a few bits coming this week so at the weekend should be able to pull the engine out and fit the new bits. more soon

well here it is on it,s wheels with out the body. and with. more soon.

car has progressed a fair bit so much so that it,s being cut of the jig on tuesday night as the frame and the cage have being welded now. so its time to see how it sits. pics on tuesday night.

epic, love this build you are one talented dude.

sort of, staying purple but alot darker and some old skhool hot rod flames. if i get it right i think it will look killer. just sorting the bonnet out and the air intake pipe. got a couple of other bits, inter cooler and radiator also trying to get some cash together for the roll cage...

big update for you.front chassis rails tacked on and the front suspension bolted on with the wheels. even got full lock to lock. more tomorrow.

cheers guys, bit more from the last couple of days. took a while to get it all set up and welded in but well worth the hassle. got 3 days now to try and get it as far as i can.:bigsmile:

got a bit more done. had the jag diff mounting plates lazor cut. these mount into slots in the frame. they will then be tig welded top and bottom. more over the weekend.

is it a 90 with a shorternd range rover chassis, ?????????????

bit of a\n update for you. got the main part of the chassis done this week. rear wheels are 10x22", all seems to fit ok cant wait to get it to the garage this friday and set it on the jig. more soon.

pick up my new ac dc tig welder yesterday. start getting the chassis welded this week so should have some pics by midweek.
