"The Next One" - Handcrafted Mid-Engine Sports Car

I agree with the textbook bit. You'd better start writing as soon as you've finished this :P I will more than certainly buy one. This has also inspired me to go ahead and start making some new things. I mentioned in another thread that I wanted a C&C miller, well I have now started designing and...

    Interesting insurance quote

That was from a comparison site nd. After checking so many options to reduce it the lowest we could get it was £3,400. And nice pg, wish I could get that quote lol. Looks like I won't be driving this year now though unless I get a breakthrough money wise XD

    Interesting insurance quote

I wonder though, am I better off paying now and (admittedly ending up near broke lol) working up the no claims or just waiting until i'm passed 25? I am curious as to whether it really is worth it at the moment. Annoyingly.

    Interesting insurance quote

Heya guys and gals, So interesting story. I looked into insurance on my first machine. I had an old 1992 Toyota Hilux. Sweet as a nut to run and was useful for shifting stuff around fields when I was back home. So I looked into the insurance on it and thought, well it would...

    Ok new wheels are here....

Oh they look lush in white. Had one pass me earlier in Kingston and it was such a nice thing to pass compared with most of the rubbish driving past. Nice one TN mate.

    Prince's BMW E36 318is Coupe

Oh man i'm stuck between which I prefer. The new rims make her look real professional and it is without a doubt a lush look but the old rims had... something about them. Nice to see the new internals as well. Damn your engine mount took a battering .

Fantasy Island Time - What piece of equipment would you really like in your garage?

Re: Fantasy Island Time - What piece of equipment would you really like in your garag Thanks for the advice and feedback OG. I didn't honestly realise that they would be around that price. I was expecting (and have only really seen) them to be up in the 10's of thousands knocking around. Though...

Fantasy Island Time - What piece of equipment would you really like in your garage?

Re: Fantasy Island Time - What piece of equipment would you really like in your garag Well this is an old thread but one that has caught my eye so... Dream machine would have to be a C&C miller. Would allow me to design parts in solid works and just machine them. If there were any problems...

    Petrol thefts on the rise

I mentioned this to the lads in uni t'other day. They turned around to me in disbelief, had never heard of it. I pointed them onto the articles and heard they're now hunting for garages for their cars. It's interesting to see how it seems unknown in some parts.

    Limiting power for new drivers

On this subject, i'm unsure what limiting things is really going to help with. Regardless of the car, if someone is going to be a prat, they're going to be a prat. Law or no law. I have always wanted a bigger car knowing that when I get it, I will drive around professionally, that's the way i'm...

    Hello all o/

Heya Waynee bud, I have already started on the posting :D I have read quite a bit regarding meet ups as well so if I see one I can make it to (exams not being in the way etc) then I will hopefully try to get to it (though likely by train for the moment until I actually get a car sorted). Thank...

    Oldsmobile

Heya guys, So I was rolling around in the internet when I came across an interesting find. Now i'm a big fan of the old Cadillacs (man I would adore to get my hands on one of the old, thin wooden steering wheels) and especially the bench seating. But today I came across a car which...

    Ever had a blow out

Not had a blowout but similar to HDI we hit a kerb (or one of those central crossing islands). Hitting about 50 in a Jaguar X-Type and we hit it square with the driver side wheel. Would you believe it though, the car was fine. Not a scratch, no damage to the wheels or tyre... I will never...

    Hello all o/

If a robin reliant owner signs up I would like to know just to see the body mods on it XD That would be a spectacle for the eyes.

"The Next One" - Handcrafted Mid-Engine Sports Car

As a student currently studying engineering... this is an awesome thread to be reading. Nice one invision, gives me a reason to keep studying (and now take my car, when I get it, apart). This is the exact sort of thing I have been wanting to do as my philosophy runs along the lines of, if I...

    Hello all o/

Thanks T9 for the welcome. Might I say how much the sign up question amused me. "How many wheels does a car have?"... first thing that came to mind was a Robin Reliant... (I may have just put my foot in it somewhere, i'm sure).
