My v70r has limited slip diff and has better suspension than a normal t5 and believe me it can goes round corners just got to feather the throttle as will spin the wheels for a long way if you plant your foot too early

i chose my v70r as its the one of few cars that will do 160mph and has 7 seats lol

there is a bloke on the forums who has changed the turbo and injectors exhaust etc and is running 285 bhp from his t4 on the standard ecu

cos ideally it needs a new engine (loud tapping bent rod) of which i have one ready to go in, just bought a cam belt kit for it and just need an uprated 850r clutch then it will be getting done

I have mates with t5's or r's with over 450bhp they are serious machines and regularly do track days

what you will have to do is take the ecu out, and send it off to be taken apart and an off the shelf chip be put in, i dont think i know anyone who has a mapped t4, btw i dont think its easy to get at the ecu on those cars

Standard its 247 bhp 350 nms torque and weighs 1500 kgs, so 165 bhp per tonne 0-60 6.8 secs and 155mph so mine is about 210 bhp per tonne at the moment, big plans for next year though big Garrett turbo and forged engine

i think people get a massive shock when i blow them away in my volvo, not really come up against anything on the road that has kept up to be honest not with 353lb ft torque and 311bhp @1.3 bar boost can run at 1.5 bar if i wanted. midrange acceleration is awesome on these motors 60-100 in 6 secs

there are little gains to be had through modifying a naturally aspirated engine, especially small engines, turbo'd cars is where it's at mate

a mate of mine has a t4 just put an mbc on and it dyno'd at 245 bhp and 400nms torque

there isnt alot of difference in insurance mate, and by new shape i mean after 2000 phase 2 models, better interior bumpers and lights etc phase 1 phase 2

remapped one will push near 180-190bhp mate, these things are rapid

seat ibiza fr tdi or cupra tdi or 20vt very quick little motor especially the cupra diesel with 160bhp and loads of torque and 50mpg too lol
