You see where my standard backbox is? before the axle, i need about a metre and a half of pipe custom made - bent and welded D: everywhere i ask isn't local enough and wont quote me without seeing the car itself. I have around £100 to spend to get a man (or women) to bend and weld me some pipe!!

last owner serviced it at 30+k miles, shes on about 40k now. gonna change oil and filters soon, think my leaky backbox might be the fuel problem, then again the rear brakes were constantly "applied" untill i changed the pads < never own a c-max! :(

As said above, try a volt meter on the battery. First check the battery's actual voltage, then with the engine on (charging) should be about 13-14 volts. Then try again with things such as air-con, heating, wipers, any high-demaning power device and it should read no lower then 12volts. Try...

i wouldnt worry about the suspension, brakes, steering etc. just yet, unless you want to seriously want to up the BHP :)
