you can have bags of torque from a petrol. I get 270lbs-ft at the wheels (so probs over 300lb-ft at the crank) at 2500rpm in mine, and very little lag. Big shove comes in from 2000 and runs cleanly pulling right through to 6500.

Yes! My car drives WAY better than when it was stock... totally different car nowadays in how it feels. Most mods are underneath - like music, it can be crap or good depends on your taste. and yes.. Smaller alloys are better, why you think I have 17" OZ ? :)

They're a Honda so they won't break down. I drove one and it was so poor in the mid-range it made me cry... and that was compared to my at the time Standard Volvo.

Hairdryer or hot water and a credit card - just make sure it's clean so you don't rub grit over the paintwork

The stock S40 is pretty refined, smooth etc... I've done a lot to get mine back to a more raw feel - you might be pleasantly surprised :) 850R is an awesome car, thinking about getting one as a track car, what's the spec on yours?

have you had it remapped so you get the cracks and bangs on the overrun too ? ;) Milltek sounds a bit soft - didn't you consider a De-cat with a straight thru pipe ? :D

I think with Bodykits less is more... ... add too much you just look like you're trying way too hard - and that's never cool.

Stage 3 with a downpipe, remap, and uprated FMIC, Forge BOV etc... is night and day to stock. Mine used to do 50-70 in 4.5 in 3rd, does it in 3.0 now. Is a great engine - as long as you don't mind frequent trips to the petrol station.

I get 275lb-ft of torque at the wheels at 2000 rpm :) Still, I shouldn't have got my muffler removed, mine sounds like a Group B Audi Quattro. 8500rpm in an RS4 sounds like an ideal way to get your energy levels up first thing on a morning!

I'm betting you wouldn't see the full 8hp gain if you dynoed before and after anyway. I'm no expert with the NA but isn't a good Air filter/intake the best place to start ?

Overtaking is all part of the challenge :) It's easy to overtake - harder to do it safely.

My dampers are feeling a bit tired, so will probably go for coil-overs. It's quick enough for day to day use - Could get a ported turbo but would need a new Map, and a custom tune to get the best out of it - hard to organise and you're looking at £1500 for an extra 10-20bhp so probably not...
