    Best Body Kit Ever!

Barry Boys I must admit I dont like the way they rip people to pieces just because they have "modified" thrie cars but.......... Some of the stuff people do deserves redicule... And yes the 6R4 was a Barry Boys pic in their Shed Of The Week section

    carbon bits

Carbon can be used in a few ways, the main one is the use of a vacuum mould with resin impreganted carbon fibre, the whole thing is put in an autoclave where the carbon is heated, the resin melts and voila...... one panel.... this process cost uber mucho spondoolicks..... You can wet lay carbon...

"The Next One" - Handcrafted Mid-Engine Sports Car

I will follow this thread with interest, I am doing something similar myself but just cheating and using the tub of an existing car, I watched your last creation and thought it was superb. It might not look to everyones taste, but everyone can certainly admire the engineering and skill going...

    carbon bits

Had a few bits wrapped in that carbon effect stuff before, must admit it's not a bad compromise, most carbon wrap looks terrible as it is trying to replicate the original, so it just looks like a load of grey and black dashes with a shiney covering..... The stuff you guys have used looks like...

Idea for modding rear light clusters

I will be waiting ;) I have "another" project I will starting soon and I am going to fit Fiesta MK7 lights but on the horizontal plane rather than vertical, should work out well I reckon

    Spacers

I said to the guy to get the deepest dish he could, just so I would not have to make horrendously big spacers..... He came back with some original Ferrari wheels for that extra realistic look....... numpty!

Cost of spraying a car ...

I guess a lot also depends on your own idea of a good and bad paint job, I do not accept runs, colour sags or orange peel of any amount, it has to be mirror smooth no dull areas from dodgy flat and polishing, that I call a £3K paint job. There was a new guy who started in the paintshop, been...

MR2 Ferrari conversion..... an abomination if I ever did see one!

Cost of spraying a car ...

£1500 I would expect that to be a cheap job.... I charge £3K to do a Jag XK, for a bare metal respray and colour change you can double that! I get asked this question a lot and when you tell them £3K you get the sharp intake of breath...... They then go to tell you how much cheaper they can...

I love a dark Purple, just not a popular colour, unless of course you read this thread

    Spacers

I have made spacers from 15mm to 175mm, the ones I make are made to suit your car, be that metric or imperial threads, I always use studs, so in some cases if you were originally using bolts instead of nuts you will have to change, the problem you get is people using air guns and wrecking the...

    Jagz XKR

I actually dont have any before I stripped it out pics but as an idea it looked very similar to this I hate it..... bland and boring.... looks like this now  OK it is in need of work, but I have plans, the wood is going, too typical old man Jag for my liking (OK I...

    Stretched tyres

Hmmm I did that car over 10 years ago, I do have a lot of pics still I might be able to rustle something up.

Yes and the wheels are the same as the F40

Idea for modding rear light clusters

Each to theri own I say...... I hate the original rear end, you have all these tight lines up the front and the rear goes all wobbly, lumpy and bumpy, like the backend was designed by a completely different guy from the front....

    Engine Bay

@Raven I stripped the engine down to a certain degree and painted everything up myself. It is a bit extreme for your average engine detail, but if you want it looking right! @YugGuy Yes that induction pipe is custom made but I did cheat on that one by using joiners, I also...

Idea for modding rear light clusters

A trick I do is look at other cars, look at the shape of the lights, see if you can make them fit. I do this with my cars.... Looking at the back of the Probe it would be quite easy to update the lights to a newer design... OK I say easy, how good are you with a welder? This is the original...

How many wheel types are there

OMG c'mon guys I thought you was all a bunch of petrol heads !!! But the above explanation is correct, liked by the VW crowd who also fit stretched tyres onto banded rims :amazed:
  25. Jagz

    Stretched tyres

Not a fan of stretched tyres, I prefer to fit wider wheels and then make the arch fit around them....... Sometimes I go a bit over the top  You can actually see the wheel I was fitting to the left bottom corner of the pic. This is the wheel a 335/35/17, they are a 13J

    Engine Bay

Degrease it using a garden sprayer and a brush (I use a 3") then get yourself some AutoSmart Finish, spray it all over, you may get a few pools of the milky stuff laying around but trust me just leave it, it will look superb. Or you go mad and do something like this Before After...

    Jagz XKR

The interior is stripped at the moment, I have a few holes to sort , I have started on some of the other parts of it, fitting a 7" touch screen running off a hard drive, I will be losing all the wood, probably go for carbon fibre, did think on piano black, I need a finish to cover the...

PART 2 As I have uprated the supercharger I was a little concerned about the cooling side of things, I uprated the charge cooler and the electric pump, I have separated the supercharger cooling system from the main loop and have added an additional tank with another pump. I also changed the...

PART 1 Thought I would share the basket case I got . Its a 1999 Jaguar XKR in a bit of a sorry state, does not look too bad in this first picture, was already modified to a certain degree They never look too bad in pics, this one had a bad paint job, a blown engine and the...

    Cold Air Induction Kits

You want to fit something thats has had good reviews and works, try a Killer Chiller, the US boys love them for super and turbo charged cars. I know one guy who has it on his XKR and you can see condensation building up on the outside of the charge coolers as they are so cold and for £500 I...

    Brake Caliper Paint

I've tried that VHT..... to put it bluntly....its shhhh..rubbish ;) I went on Ebay and found a guy who was decanting some paint into seperate pots and selling them off at a not too exorbitant price, came in a little kit with latex gloves and a cheap brush, I paid something like £6........ The...

    For show use only

In another thread we were talking about CDAs and stamped on those it says' not for highway use', it's a built in get out clause, if your car blows up and you was on the road, you cannot go running to them with fingers pointed. It is why my product liability insurance is so high, having these...
