Thanks to all who helped with web links and phone numbers. I've managed to source a gearbox as a result of this info. and I await it's delivery and fitting. It'll be good to get the old girl back on the road. Don't know how much the fitting will cost yet so maybe another shock around the corner...

Thanks Andy, I'll try the links you've given me. It was Brian Miller who I took the car to and he has diagnosed the gearbox failure. He's a good guy and I would certainly recommend him.

Hi, I have a clunking noise coming from the car, possibly driveshaft, diff or something. Feels as if a cog tooth is missing from something. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Thanks for helping.
