Hello all, another problem with my 1.0L Polo. The warning buzzer that sounds when the lights are left on with the keys out of the ignition has stopped working. Just wondering if anybody had any idea where to locate the damn thing. Any help much appreciated!

Yeah might do the bonnet, sills and maybe the roof. That kits ok but if you shop around you can get it much cheaper. Ive managed to find it for £40 per m off the roll (genuine Di-noc). Except the guys run out so il start a post when the offers on again.

im in two minds, just do the bonnet and some smaller areas eg sills and a bit of interior. From what ive seen it is very good and reflects light as carbon fibre does so I might get a sample and give it a try. Thanks

Just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with 3M's Di Noc Carbon Fibre and its ease of use and quality. I was originally looking at a full respray but for the cost of the Di Noc and the aesthetic appeal im leaning more towards that. Thanks

Somethin messed up and out of the four main bulbs, they were all lit, including high beam, but only faintly??? Lol somethin went very wrong but it was the actual wiring not headlights themselves.

For the sake of fannyin around ive simply invested in a set of osram nightbreakers, heard they were good. Sellin a set of angel eyes for 6N if interested lol.

Thanks but got it sorted, 2 an a half days labour, 2 new suspension units (complete), new headlights, wiring and indicators, plus cost of MOT. 390 quid lol. Its lucky I know the guy.

Cheers il have a look into that. Just thought a moderate drop in height say 40mm with say eibach springs all round would be sufficient and improve ride enough. Was lowered 80mm last time an on the roads in this country the ride was spine shattering.

just took the top pipe off the expansion tank when all the pipes were hot with the engine at temp an not even a dribble came out so my water pump must be well and truly deceased. Got it booked in next week for new pump an belt. Fingers crossed itl be sorted. Keep you posted.

yeah thats what im thinkin as a possibility (allbeit one im dreading). However an air lock can cause both of these symptoms but i must have bled the system 5 times now with no success.

Thanks but the stat and housing is brand new and from VW. didnt want to risk gettin cheapie ones. Its odd, got my fan working now but still overheats when stationary and no warm air through vents but all pipes hot once engine at normal running temp.

ive had to rule out the stat cos ive had 3 new ones in from different sources and different makes. Made no difference.

thanks il give it another try but spent several hours over last few days checkin for airlocks. Ive kinda ruled that out plus i dont fancy spendin more money on coolant. Gone through 40 quids worth in last week :s

yeah i just wanted more braking from the rear when the front lock up. Plus the aesthetics of rear discs also. The front discs an pads are replaced yearly, fluid too.
