    Nitrous bottle heater

My kit cost £560. It would appear I've chipped your nail varnish by disliking WON. But then to be honest from what I've read from your posts clearly you are incapable of making anything and are of the impression the best way to do anything is throw £££ at it. You strike me more as the type of...

    Tuning tips: Nitrous injection kits

No, no you are all perfectly correct. Nitrous oxide will not burn or explode no matter what you do to it, nor will oxygen under ANY circumstances. The alleged horse power from feeding any amount of "NOS" in to an engine is obviously a placebo effect. Once you fit the kit to your vehicle you...

    Nitrous bottle heater

Bottle blankets get up to between 85 and 95 degrees which is the roughly the running temp of the coolant. As for buying stuff off WON, I'd never touch any of their kit. I've seen their kit and to be quite honest it looked like it came from Argos.

    Tuning tips: Nitrous injection kits

Ever put a glass over a lit candle and wondered why the flame goes out? Or smoothered a burning chip pan with a wet cloth cutting of any air getting to it and wondered why the fire went out??

    Tuning tips: Nitrous injection kits

2 parts of the N2O gas won't burn(that'd be the 2 nitrogen molecules) however the third will(that'd be the oxygen bit). The nitrogen side is the controlling part of the mixture, otherwise we'd be putting pure oxygen(the burning bit) in to the engine and that would give you a huge combustion...

    Nitrous bottle heater

Living in the UK we don't get to enjoy the warmer climates and this causes havoc with my bottle pressure. The solution being a bottle heater but the best price I can find is £140!! Although this may not be a huge amount of money I can think of better things to be spending it on and would only...

    Tuning tips: Nitrous injection kits

"Nitrous is a highly flammable gas" Also I smoke and if you light a cigarette and spray nitrous directly from the bottle on to the cigarette it puts it out immediately. The only time it becomes volatile is when there is a spark...... Then it goes BOOM :)

    Tuning tips: Nitrous injection kits

Nitrous doesn't give you any more speed, it just allows you to accelerate faster. I've declared my kit to my insurance and they didn't bat an eyelid at it, even when the Police have stopped me they weren't bothered by it. I even mentioned it to the copper that stopped me and he said "As long as...

    ECU reading project

Well that's a start, cheers mate. I'll look at different cables. My biggest problem is that my Hyundai doesn't run OBDII. Ideally I'd use a HiScan but then that does cost way too much as a hobby item!!! Still, the new search has begun :)

    ECU reading project

Right this is causing me a major headache, I doubt it'd work on my Hyundai but the idea was to get it either work on mine or I have access to a Vauxhall Corsa B to try and get this to work on. First off I bought a cable, this one Ebay Item:320601258177 it has an FTDI chipset is suitable for...

Next up has to be the exterior, although I have a couple of gauges left to fit ;) And I'm looking in to an FIC so I can do a couple of tweeks.

Hello matey, it's nice to be back :D

    It's been a while

Yup but it's ok cuz if I'm going for performance I have a fool proof method of cooling the intake temp. "An extra bonus of nitrous oxide is the lowering of the intake temperature. When released from a pressurized bottle, the temperature of nitrous oxide drops to around minus 125 degrees...

    Adjustable Fuel Regulator

So I have one and I want to fit it to my 1997 Coupe(Tibby). The OE one is bolted by a flange to the end of the fuel rail. Is there any way I could replace the OE one for the new one?

The nos should be giving me around 65-75bhp but I haven't had it on a RR yet. Yeah the fuel jet was at 0.18 and the nos at 0.36. The fuel is now 0.22 and new plugs are in. The initial kick is less but the power feels a lot more. As for the Gen1, it's all about the curves ;)

Thank you very much for the warm welcome  The middle strut brace basically sits in front of the back seat between the B pillars. The slave cylinder mod: On the Hyundai, and probably on other cars too, in the clutch slave cylinder there is a spring and resistor plug so that when...

Aloha, I used to come on here when I had an Audi A3 which I've since changed to a Hyundai Coupe Gen1 2.0. Loving the Coupe!! I've had it about 5 months now and I've been busy modding it. When I got it it was completely standard except for a DVD headunit. Now though it's changed a bit and is...

    Any Hyundai owners???

Yeah, I had it since August and having already had one engine rebuild it went back to RSD for another fortnight within 4 months of it leaving there the first time around so I decided to get shot of it. Now I have a new toy to play with :)

    Any Hyundai owners???

Yes mate, since saturday just gone(the 6th of feb) I am the proud owner of a Gen1 2.0l Coupe in yellow. Completely stock except for the headunit, soon to be modded(payday can't come soon enough!!!). Before saturday I had an Audi A3 1.6i which was swapped for the Coupe. I haven't even had chance...

tbh I never even asked!! It's supposed to be ready on friday so it'll be the first question I ask.

    Sparkplug Issues

Ha haaaaa!!! Warranty?!? I doubt that but it's worth a try. The engine has been pulled apart and the result........... is......... oil stem seals!!!! I did say it'd been using quite a bit of oil in other threads but tbh it wasn't smoking badly. Apparently the seals are about £1 a piece but it'll...

    Sparkplug Issues

Cheers for the tip Waynne, but it would appear that the leads, caps, plugs and coil is all good. The latest theory(from a workmate, also the Doc seemed to think this was a possibility) is that the piston rings are shot or a possible valve problem. If it's rings or valves I won't exactly be happy...

    Sparkplug Issues

The problem isn't solved, the car is still at RSD. The plugs in the pics are out of cylinders 1 and 3 that are buggered. I figured it can't be the plugs themselves cuz they have all been replaced and it's still only running on 3. The coil that all 4 plug leads start from had a pin snapped off so...

    Sparkplug Issues

So having posted that it's now running sweet, I get in the car today and it's back on 3 cylinders! Back to RSD I go, new coil fitted, along with the new plugs fitted yesterday and it's still on 3 cylinders. The only bits left that come to my mind are plug caps and leads but beyond that I'm out...

    Sparkplug Issues

It's an 8v so I assume it's a single cam. Would it do any harm or good to run on super, other than in my pocket. Since it was rebuilt, imo, it pulls like a frieght train(as much as a 1.6i can). It will leave a 1.8(non turbo) from standing start, but I was told by the Doc that it wasn't remapped...

    Sparkplug Issues

So I'm driving back from the monthly shopping to trip and the car starts to cough  All I can think is what's wrong now?? As I try to accelerate the cough descends in to a mis-fire. To say I was unimpressed doesn't even get close:mrgreen: Anyways, when I stopped at a junction I thought to...

All I want for christmas is an HiD conversion. The stock lights on my A3 are pants!! They'll be changing shortly after the new year. I reckon I'll be going for black angel eyes, thet are sweet!!

    Oil concern.

I like to drive in a spirited manor  The backbox was secondhand when I got it and considering I only paid a fiver for it, it's not too bad :blink1: Time to find a new one, I'm thinking of a Savage Universal one this time. Tread depth per mile is quite reasonable to be honest, you must...

    why

To be quite honest I prefer a decent headunit and standard speaker setup with possibly a pair of pretty looking 6x9s on the parcel shelf. As far as the "quality" goes the accoustics inside any car are quite crap. There really is no point in fitting half a dozen subs with all the amps in the...
