Bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla, any special maintenance tips ?

My 2001 Mazda 626, 5 speed manual won't shift into 2nd, 4th or reverse, but 1st, 3rd and 5th ( upper side shifting ) are okay. What is the problem.

For radials in a avg car, have you tried filling nitrogen in the tube-less tyre. Does it give a good temp performance.

Is this remapping to do with reprogrammng ECU. Do all cars have ECU's now? Can you connect to laptop to see which gear you are running in ? What shape / locations are they fitted under the bonnet ?
