Might upset a few here but...Fiesta is #!#!#!#!...slow and not too reliable. 106 ...the gti will be faster both in the corners and in a straight line, but even worse reliability than the fezza. 306 d turbo... handling worst out of the lot listed, but nippy with a remap. Its a diesel though...

There are enough left mate, you could buy one alrady done too (i know of one for sale for £2650 (i know its a lot for a metro but to build one the same spec you will need upwards of 8k...) 175bhp in a 850kg car will be enough to embarass many cars on track (elise? PAH!) Or build one...

You can get a metro handling as well as an elise for sub £500, and easily as fast too, and who expects it? Or an MGF is quite close.

I think Wayne is close/on the dot with Toyota, got the Yaris with the RS version, Glanza/GT, MR2, Supra (with one of the greatest engines ever) as well as family wagons, pickups etc etc...

You are lucky you didnt blow up the ecu and other electrical components. So has the battery gone totally flat at any point then? Have you checked the battery fluid level?

The part you removed from the air intake is probably there to prevent noise of a certain resonant frequency that can be produced due to the size/shape of the intake piping

Get out :toung: Pretty much true though....handling can be sorted by fitting a nice set of coilovers to get them up to par, then there are so many other handling tweaks you can do to make them handle even better. Interior i disagree about, seats arent the nicest but the dash is set out...

But potentially using much more petrol that could easily outweigh the financial benefits of not changing gear

I think the standard injectors are fine, what they are probably getting at is that they wont run as well on standard managment (not a problem for you) but it will need a remap to run at its best. You would also benefit from some vernier pulleys and get them set up using Dave Andrews cam timing...

You cant expect people to try out every tyre can you? The views i state come from many peoples opinions, including tyre fitters. I have personal experience with Paradas, F1s and s drives, and from what i hear the T1Rs are just about up to scratch with the s drives....IE...Not all that great

They are the dowells on the camshaft sprocket, and change the cam timing without needing adjustable pulleys, Dave Andrews does them for a good price 200bhp is achievable without a turbo though...although pretty expensive. Great power can still be had from NA, most people if running a vvc...

Have you got a full spec to post up? The head is quite restricive on these, you are best off getting that ported and polished with bigger valves before using throttle bodies, or getting a vvc head and converting it to sold cam with a piper vvc blanking kit (it has bigger valves and is better...

I've always said this and i always will....French cars are utter #!#!#!#!. I would NEVER ever own one. Driven them quite a bit, the gearboxes are always horrible, the engines crap, and whenever they are ion for an MOT they always fail on things that cars so new shouldnt be having problems...

Torque is the turning force from the engine, HP is calculated using the torque (cant remember the formula right now) its related to revs too, which is why on a rolling road graph the power/torque always cross at 5252(?) rpm Its a common misconception that you need torque to have a quick car...

I doubt you will be able to get one, best off finding one out of another celica or just fit some aftermarket ones...would be a good upgrade anyway ;)
