There is no question with my VW T5 that it runs much much better on higher rated diesel, it is more apparent after having in remapped though.

I like to use Shell Ultimate when I can, the rest of the time I use Salisbury's. I can definitely tell a difference, my VW T5 will wheel spin in 2nd gear in the dry with the Shell fuel and not be close to doing the same with the Salisbury's fuel. Definitely worth buying in my opinion.

Well Audi own Lambo as you may know. Since owning Lamborghini the quality of the cars has moved from kit car to Audi standards. The R8 and Gallardo share a reasonable amount of parts but I can't remember which! They look different enough not to worry about the technicalities though I suppose?

May I ask what (or who?!) the 18 year old does that has landed him an R8?!

Thank you for taking the time to do that, I appreciate it! I will post a thread on a T5 oweners site and try and gather some info on the engine differences (they tend not to be into the tuning side so much). Back in a bit :)

There is a 174 varient of the T5 which gives me a few options I supose if I could get some of those parts and put them on mine e.g injectiors and turbo. I'd like to think that the airbox, intercooler, clutch ect.. is the same so that I won't have to change any of those along with the power...

I'm new to the forum and I apologize in advance if this seems abrupt but... Your really over thinking this! Get it remapped, the difference will really surprise you! Then look into the rest of the options. I hope you enjoy the performance increase!
