    Hi, evoIII owner here

no idea mate, but surely the actual compression ratio is determined by the physical aspects of the cylinder / piston stroke / thickness of head gasket, so i would suspect that it is unable to be changed by ecu mapping. perhaps thicker h/g or re-engineer piston rods (shorter) etc.

    evo 4 gsr

you don't want more than 1.2bar unless you have uprated engine internals & other stuff done as well eg fuelling - the engine will break. do some research.

    evo engine into colt

hi azzy, i'm new here, and don't know the etiquette here, but this has been done a few times. hth i don't think u can mix gearboxes / transfer boxes between early evo models, so you may have to source matching gearbox, transfer box, drive shaft & rear diff

    Experiences of RWYB events

Re: How dangerous is drag racing? yup, i have heard this also. i should've mentioned it, and made more clear i'm a novice - only been twice, but those 2 times where fine, just as i described above. last time was feb 2009, a very cold day, so maybe not surprising it wasn't busy, but the other...

    Hi, evoIII owner here

    Experiences of RWYB events

regarding the rwyb days at santa pod etc, pretty safe IMO as in a normal car you won't be going over 100mph i shouldn't think. a fantastic day out. £10 per car to get in, and £25 for unlimited runs. you'll never forget the first time you're at the staging lights......:D here's a run on my 1st...

    evo 4 gsr

+1 for reliability, keep it standard. for modding, after usual exhaust, intake, IMO a boost controller is the best bang-for-buck. £160 gets you whatever boost pressure you turbo can give (but on standard engine internals, 1.2bar is considered max safe boost pressure). Going from standard...
