    Hello from Atlanta

Water injection is designed to cool the combustion chamber temperature to reduce the chance or eliminate engine knock. It is better than an aditional fuel injector, but would have expected the price for a propely regulated set up to cost as much as a intercooler. But finaly it is always the...

    low budget upgrades

For the Mk1, the cheapest mod is the exhaust/inlet cam change, will cost very little. You will need an old 1.6 exhaust camshaft though, The exhaust cam has slightly higher lift than the inlet. It requires chopping off the cam sensor drive from the exhaust and drilling another hole in the inlet...

    Hello from Atlanta

Take a look at Forge Motor Sport they have fairly cheap Intercoolers. Safer that water injection and one fitted never touched again. Should give you a small power increase also. http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?inc=product&catalog=0013

    Hi Torquers

Afraid I've turned into an MX5 nutter, currently hold a stock of four. Next mod in slight power increase to about 250bhp over the winter and that will be the limit, but I do seem to remember saying at the time the charger was fitted two years ago that the expected 210bhp will be more than enough...
