    Osram NB+

i've always used the philips xtreme power and i've found them to be excellent. I cant justify the £45 they're charging for their new version though, the xtreme vision. I am tempted to try the NB+'s though, I reckon they'll be similiar to the xtreme power but a wee bit cheaper. I'll be sure to...

    Welding two different metals together.

you need to be careful when joining dissimilar metals, any moisture will induce corrosion in the more basic metal. I'm guessing this would be particularly the case with aluminium and SS as they're is quite a separation in the galvanic series. Obviously this can be done as loads of cars have...

    Driving lights

Has anyone ever had any experience with driving lights fitted to their car (e.g. like the kind you used to find on rally cars?). How much of a difference did it make? Was it normal halogen bulbs, hids or led bulbs? Is there any law governing there use on road?

Looking for a car, around 25k.

i know it doesnt meet the awd consideration but what about the Ford Focus RS, it ticks all the other boxes and puts out 305 bhp as standard. I'm sure with a remap, decent intake and exhaust the power could be boosted quite a bit.
