Hello I would like to tell you about my mx5 mk1 1600cc its the 115bhp model. I have started to turn this car into a semi track day car . Ihave a straight through stainless steel sport exhaust decated kn panel filter, four pronged (iridium)? Sparkplugs with 8mm racing ht leads, timing has been forwarded to 14 degrees. All belts including timing belt runners and ect has been changed also the lower pully has been drilled and refixed as a common fault on these. Suspension has sport springs (lowered by 15 -25mm) and all bushes changed to poly bushes . Full wheel alignment has been done with uprated brake discs drilled and grooved with greenstuff fast road pads fixed to. Engine brace and chassis braces front and back fitted . 15" black alloy with red striping wheels shod in Yokohama PRADA 2 tyres . Bodywork has been restored to a high standard and panels changed where necessary. Only run on high octane fuel and garaged all the time never used in the rain only 4000 miles done in three years . It is painted in ford moondust silver with a red roof . Currently looking to add a upgraded clutch but dont know what kind to use . I have sourced a typ3 paddle ceramic sprt clutch and would appreciate any useful info on how it would react on my car thanks for reading this and hope to hear from you .
