Can I use a thicker oil?

Mm, thinking old land-rover. Might just make the heater blow that little bit hotter

Can I use a thicker oil?

Subaru used to have an optional 88 degree (standard) and a hotter one for winter, 92 if I remember, as did many other manufacturers.

Thanks. Just worth mentioning that the sidewall states m+s too. So good for the rally cross, mud covered tarmac we get over here in the country, from the sugar beet harvest etc, where tractors try to convert roads into fields. And for parking in fields at motorsports events and...bonfire night...

It means that, the muppet who used to drive the high performance car, had no business doing so... Invariably!

    Help with starting project!!

If I were in mississippi, I would donate some spanner time for some of that corn bread and moonshine, but I don't think that it's appropriate to donate funds for the very reason being, it could just be for a crystal meth lab, or something much more sinister. Sorry

    Winter tyres fitted

Pirelli sottozero 3 x4, 225/45/17, pricematched by selecta tyre, quoted by openeo £404 fitted with new valve and balance. They are very quiet apart from a fairly high pitched but only slight "singing" Roll on the cold.

You need to start by buying yourself a rear fog light... And rigging it up in your bedroom window.

Can I use a thicker oil?

I personally prefer a hotter thermostat in winter if available too.

Can I use a thicker oil?

It's about perception. My renault suggestions on oil are a 10 w 30 or a 10w40 but that is for UK. It's a very poor guideline. It's perfectly feasible to use a 0w 30 or 0w 40 because this spec supercedes the last. In very cold climate this would be the ONLY option due to the cold start viscosity...

Can I use a thicker oil?

Take a look. Old hat stuff in old race engine builders. It's called prudent economic common sense. And btw thick oil also works wonders on certain applications.
