GTO - good choice :p To be honest though I don't think the 80's was a good decade cars. 60's 70's and 90's all produced great cars. Sadly I don't think we are going to see times like that again as now companies are just producing generic cars that have to meet too many...

0 accidents (crashes with me driving) was involved in 1 where I was passenger I have bumped a wall with the towbar a couple of times (going about 0.2 mph so no damage/marks etc) So not done too bad (Touch Wood :p)

hmm...surely this is easily tracked though isn't it? I'm guessing he makes a new fake paypal account so that isn't traceable, but surely the bank account attached to the paypal is in somebody's name? this plus the messages that you have saved making the arrangements..... but then again after all...

Going to sound stupid here but I can't see where the OBVIOUS scam is...obviously when the guy offers to pay full price straight away then that would make me wonder but am I not seeing something obvious?

I don't know mine at the minute as I haven't had it checked yet...I think standard it had 285BHP, it's had minor mods like exhaust and air intake system so I'd like to think it's sitting at around 300BHP but as it's 23 years old it's probably lost a few. but I haven't started on the upgrades yet :p

Yeah I'm learning a bit from owning this car...at first I didn't even want to touch the engine but I'm getting more comfortable with having a little mess with things and trying do a few things myself. Also these forums are helpful and good for getting advice

I would like to be able to do all the work myself but I'm no mechanic so unfortunately I have to fork out for others to do most of it

It all depends on whether you enjoy driving the car enough to justify the money spent. If I didn't spend my money on my car then I would probably waste it on other things....at least with a nice car you have something to show for your money
