205 GTi Dimma TT
Hi there. I've got a 1991 original Dimma 205 with the 1.9 MI16 engine, in excellent nick (only 35k miles), split rim alloys, leather seats, Clifford alarm etc. in Paris blue with black/red interior. I am thinking of selling it, but it's a bit of a wrench to let it go, so whether I'd sell depends on what I might get for it. Can't find any valuation advice anywhere... can anyone point me to any source of info on what my car is worth? Many thanks!

Got any photos of it? It sounds really nice. Why are you selling it?

An auction is probably the best way to go. See what you get offered.

I'll take some photos in the next couple of days. Yep, maybe auction is the way to go, but I don't want to sell if it doesn't make the right price and, as a buyer, I've never liked auctions with high reserves.
The only reason for sale is that it simply isn't getting used! It deserves more out of life than sitting in my garage! It sailed through last MOT and it really is a peach!

Why not post an offers wanted in our for sale section as well and see what you get offered. Have you spoken with any Pug conversion specialists?

Did you do the conversion work or did you buy it complete?

I think this would make an interesting feature if you are up for it and can supply pics/spec and help with the writeup?

Sounds really nice that does....
I'm thinking of getting a different car and was looking into a 306 gti-6 but if you can show me some pictures I might be interrested.....

I'll post full details when I take some photos. You guys may be at crossed purposes. The engine may be a n/a, but the Dimma conversion includes a turbo mod as standard.

very true mate i know the dimma produced 205 has a 1.9 turbo and so does jarrus464 but you are the 1 confusing me by saying you have an original dimma and a mi16 so which is it ?? or did you start your new years eve early and get very drunk and confused ?? if so i can relate and i hope you had a good 1!!!!

The Gti was a 1.9 8v. The Mi16 is a 2.0 16v engine and the dimma is the Mi16 engine but with a turbo i.e. 2.0 16v Turbo ;)

Actually the later GTI's weren't MI16 engines.....
the 1.9 16v was the mi16 engines
the 2.0 was completely different it is very similar to the one found in the 306 S16

out of all the 205 gti's the 1.9 16v is the best one to go for.... the earlier the better though as they had no cat's

Funny considering my original Mi16 405 was a 2.0 16v??? My mate has had alot of 205's and all the Gti's hes ever had were either the 1.6 or the 1.9 8v engines. But yeh i'll agree that the 1.9 is a better engine for the 205 as power is almost impossible to get down with a 205 Mi16 conversion lol. I know from driving my mates Mi16 205 (tuned to 179bhp)

Hi guy's, just thought i'd let my mate make a post as he's a bit of Pug Guru lol.

"alrite mate, im a friend of badgers,

just to let u know that there are 2 types of MI16 engines, theres the 2.0 16v engine and the 1.8 16v engine.

the 2.0 is the alley block with metal inlet manifold running 170 bhp,

the 1.8 is the cast block with plastic inlet manifold running 160 bhp.

if u wnt 2 see the differance i have them in my garage at home.

also, the MI16 turbo engine ure on about is called the T16, there was only 500 fitted into cars and they were 405's.
so if u have actually gt 1 of those engines, ure sat on about 5-6 grand lol.

the only other way 2 get 1 is to order 1 straight from peugeot.

it is cheaper 2 buy 1 than turbo a MI16 lol.

Any chance you can get some piccies up and i'll tell ya what you've got ;) "

Thanks - I figure now that the engine is not an MI16, but a standard 1.9 Turbo. Sorry for confusion. This is my wife's car, hence I don't really know the exact specification. (She _loves_ the car... but seemingly not enough to actually drive it... and it's taking up half my garage!!!). My earlier attempt to describe was based on stuff I dug up when trying to piece together info to get insurance quotes last year (what with this car not being on the insurers' standard drop-downs). My wife seems to know just enough to work the alarm properly (more than I can figure out) and drive it.
I am just waiting for the temperatures to rise a little before getting the car out, washed and photographed! Brrrrr... then I think it'll be up for sale and in any ad I'll make more of an attempt to be 100% accurate! Thanks for input!

Right - finally got around to listing the car - with all the facts straight, I hope!
Check out article number 300315461464 on ebay. Cheers! J
