Hi guys. New to the forum
Just bought a beautiful little Getz only the 1.3L 5 speed 3door but keen to play around with it. Been a long time since doing any thing like that 20 yrs ago spent 2 yrs building a 289 to go into my first ever car a TE cortina. Spent a fortune then wrote it off ever since only had disposable car spend a grand most end up at the wreckers then start again. But now bit older and want to do something similar. So keen to get a good size t put in this put it on a stand and play around like last time. But a lot has changed in 20 year as per technology. Thinking 1.6 then see how big to get that and turbo. Never owned turbo pretty sure they were just coming in 20 odd years ago lol. Anyway. Cheers guys any tips / web pages please let me know. Later.

Hi and welcome to a fellow Aussie :) |B

Just be aware that once you start on the turbo mod path it can become quite addictive  Been there done that :)

If you are planning to keep it registered and legal then I suggest that you get a copy of what mods are allowed in your state and get approvals IN WRITING before opening your wallet.

You will also have to check with your insurer to see if they still want your business and if they do it is vital that you keep them up to date and ensure you get their acceptance of the mods IN WRITING as verbal approvals are only as good as the paper they are written on and people can have selective memory loss .
