replicating an exhaust in stainless

Hi there I'm a new joiner and I'm after an exhaust setup

I'm after a company in the South East who can replicate an exhaust pipe for me in stainless steel possibly with a repackable muffler

Currently it's a 3 into 2 into 1 for a Turner MK2 Sports convertible with a 1275 BMC A+ Engine (developing about 96hp according to an old test graph) and it goes into a semi-visible side pipe

I doubt you can get anything off the shelf for this, so they're got to be able to custom build

Ideally I'd like some advice on whether my existing pipe gives enough power and if there's any more available by changing it a bit too so if they have testing facilities then great

Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick and welcome to TorqueCars. Nice to have you along. Hope you post up some pics of your car when you have done the 10 posts required - I'd like to see your car.

Quite a few exhaust specialists, not the nationals though, would be able to bend and shape the pipes required for you. If base power is 96 then a larger exhaust is unlikely to yield more than a few bhp more if that. You are probably best going for an off the shelf back box mated to a custom pipe. I'll have a look/ask around and see if I can come up with any names for you. Where are you located?

any of the stainless max power advertisers like powerflow should do it go on web sites and search for dealer /fitter in your area failing that janspeed in sailsbury

Hi there, thanks for your advice! I like the idea of a repackable muffler, as it's a long narrow one visible down the side of the car - be nice to get a more narrow or longer tube for better road clearance if possible.

Here's a pic of the side showing the position of the exhaust www.altairastro.com/turner/side-exhaust-detail.jpg

I'm in East Sussex.

Best regards,
Nick

pipe craft in basildon Essex specialise in this sort of application and their work is top notch, Powerflow installers are a little limited to the boxes they have and results vary from shop to shop, i used the guys at Harlow (Xtreme) and basically had to explain to them the dynamics of the different boxes to get the results i was after LOL

thanks for the tip. I'll give them a call I need to find a company who can put it on the rolling road and come up with an optimim solution for torque using an LCB in stainless steel. Nick
