For my next project this is the XU10 J2T low pressure turbo engine that will be going into it eventualy once ive rebuilt it. rebuilt lots of engines, its what keeps me sane:lol: but never really got into tuning so when the time comes im hoping for a little guidance. D
Right thought it would be a good idea to start one of these just to give you all and idea on what i am doing with my car and get opinions and ideas, wont be as in depth as some others who are rebuilding entire cars but should be enough for people to view and enjoy. I will be posting pictures up in the next few days when i have an hour to spare. Including what i have done to the car already and maybe a little sneak preview of my allloy project. Deffinate plans for the future: Finish alloys Spray exhaust and fuel cap fibre glass sub enclosure New head and tail lights Maybe plans for the future: Rear splitter Exhaust sytem (just want to add a little rumble) Tinted Windows Suggested light engine mods (seeing as i...
As a few of you know we've been expecting our first baby and at 9:13am this morning (27/02/09) little Lucy-Jane came into the world. She is 3 weeks early but very healthy and fully developed. Both mother and baby are doing well. Lianne is in over night of course and should be back home tomorrow. Here's my baby girl:- I'll get a couple more shots when shes back home and settled. I'm sooooo happy, and it looks like I got the new car just in time lmao. Almsot as if she knew lol. Cheers BAD63R
Hi guys. As i'm sure a few of have read, i have the car booked for some toys and a rolling road setion. Well in the mean time i've been buying up the extra toys that I could without buying them through the tuning company. What I have so far comprises of:- New Samco piping for the Blow off Valve. New Samco cuplink for the Air Intake pipe. New Samco Water hoses. New Samco Braded Fuel lines. A few stickers which include Blitz, HKS Power and the Tuning company I use Xspec. Also and this is the one I can't wait for, is a sheet of sticky back carbon fibre. It's no thicker than a sheet of vinyl, woven like true carbon fibre and becasue I already have a light weight bonnet from Japan, I dont need to worry about just buying a carbon fibre...

P.s. I am not a chav, merely just somebody that is bored with their slow first car I like it personally, am open to criticism / comments P.s. I KNOW I need to get some side trim , I also know I need the bonnet to be sprayed, but it will cost me a fair bit and is not important :) I had just washed the car and realized I had no pictures of it as such
not pretty, but did a job all the same :blink1: Mini of course! Everyone has to play with one of these! Chevette-started life with a 1.9 Manta engine, then that expired and in went a Rover V8, semi-space framed front end. A case of tail wagging the dog with this! Audi GT 2.4i I also had a 1340 Mini, no pictures, that ran a Longman engine, rallycross spec, 48 Weber, Jack Knight straight cut box and a Quaife slipper. I also designed and fabricated my own coilover rear beam axle. Redundancy put paid to that beauty.
Hi this is my awesome chevy project :D it is a Chevrolet Suburban made in the fine year 1985 with a 6,2 liter diesel engine. the plan was to do something cool with the paint but since that plan was made the automatic transmission thought it would be a great idea to break down  but it is raised for 35" tyres by icelandic standards NOT the american way  So now the plan is... 1. Take care of ALL rust in the car ( witch is not much ) 2. Put some awesome color on it maybe matte black or matte candy apple red or maybe gloss candy apple red I have´nt made the selection yet :) 3. Put some cool rims on it 4. Stereo 5. Lighting ( xenon ) 6. Re-tint the windows 7. New Grille this will all take a lot of time but I...
Hey guys this is my Matiz. As you can see nothing has been done to it at all which is why I'm posting it. I was wondering if anyone can make any suggestions and also can I get green headlights bulbs for it? The picture of the front of the car is not that great but I will get a better one

There's more in my profile. At present it's waiting on a couple more mandrel bends to arrive so we can finish the FMIC pipework. Since this phot was taken a few more bits have been added to the engine bay but not a great deal, mainly just some chromed items. Hopefully we'll find time in the next week or so to get it all together, we need the ramp space anyway. I'll add some more phots, probably to my profile, when it's back on four wheels.
Todays standard screen resolution is 1024x768 pixels. Some use higher res, some use lower, but this seems to be the most used res. When using a BB such as this with this screen res, the largest you want to upload a picture is 800pixels wide, as otherwise the screen is widened and you have to scroll along to see the pic, and also any text posts after it aswell - which is not fun! So bear in mid when resizing your pics, not to go wider than 800 pixels wide! Now, for you folk with graphics programmes such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro (personally I use PSP7) resizing is easy. Just open that programme, open the pic(s) you want to resize and go to your RESIZE option. With most of these programmes you can choose a percentage or a pixel...
Hi all, in my time away from this fantastic forum I went to TRAX 2008. It was a great day out and a real experience. There was a good show of car clubs from across the UK, and the largest collection of Fords and Vauxhalls I have ever seen! There was also action on the track and a chance to do a run. In the show area there was a selection of ICE-out rides, dancing girls (sorry...no pics) and various stuff to buy. EA (Electronic Arts) were also showing previews of some the new games due out soon! There was also the great finally of hundred's of modified cars leaving at once. Ford Escort Cabriolet Ford Fiesta Honda CRX (and Peugeot 206 in background) Volkswagon Golf Rear Light Mitsubishi FTO A Team Van...
Have been a member since last year but have only now gotten the car looking half way decent to posting on this site http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/brendan007album/My%20Ride/14.jpg http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/brendan007album/My%20Ride/7.jpg http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/brendan007album/My%20Ride/3.jpg
Thanks for allowing me to join your site. My name is ryan and i live in kentucky. I have a 1995 ford probe gt with a 2.5 5 speed. Click to enlarge. I have done a few Modifications to the car since buying it in dec of last year and am looking at doing a lot more to it when the cash flow improves! So what do you think of my car.
Aup! Just sold my little baby!!! Which was alot harder to do then realised even though i had my new phat 172 Cup parked at the side of it. These little cars are great fun and with little changes can be quite surprising at times!!! When i bought the car it was in a sorry state but with lots of TLC the car seemed to sit in a legue of its own. Here are sum photo's of her: http://www.torquecars.com/forums/album.php?albumid=23
did anyone go down to sittingbourne today? there was a classic car and classic bike show on at the greyhound track. some really nice trikes too, there was a honda fireblade trike and a few hotrods, didnt manage that many pics as i couldnt find my camara but borrowed my dads camara phone for a few.
It's a sunny day, and I decided to wash my car. Autoglym is brilliant stuff... I had to take a picture Click the photo for a full sized view So the question is: which car shampoo and polish do you use? :-) **EDIT** Seeing as someone is bound to ask: the car behind it is a Citroen C5 estate
New to the forum. Not done a huge amount of custom work yet but some of what I have done took me a long time (doube din facia - they don't exsist on 75/ZTs). Facia still needs a bit of work and inline filter yet to be complete. Fitted new dash and steering wheel although I have no photos of hat yet.
So with the Punto being a catastrophic MoT failure way back at the start of last year and the Civic going nowhere for ages (and to be honest not being quite what I wanted, plus the panels needed some TLC before I could start properly doing any mods) I've done something maybe a little bit silly and bought something else. I got this instead: Notice how it comes pre-loaded with Peugeot SP kit including wheel arch extensions, front grill and spoiler? Starting out with a 205, I guess I've always been more into French hatches, complete with all their quirks.
Car was really dirty - I forgot it was Purple! The bug spray I used was rubbish - it left marks in the paint. Instead I used a halfords colour restorer which is a bit like t-cut but a lot milder. Rather than rub hard -wipe on and off and it took off the tar as well leaving lovely smooth paint. There were a few scuffs on the wing etc... so I used T-Cut to remove these. The alloys looked like they were black and dark grey! After washing the paint still had steaks so I used a shammy. Alloy wheels got a thorough washing over. I then scrubbed the alloys and use CITRIC acid on the areas which were badly soiled. The washed bonnet looked good but not a deep shine and there were still swirls in the paint...
