Hi Folks, Apparently there are two versions of the 1.4HDi engine fitted to my Wife's 2002 206 Hatch, one is listed as the plain "1.4HDi" and the other as the "1.4HDi Eco 70"
Is there any way of seeing the difference visually.

At a guess, one has a "Eco" stamped on the engine or tailgate?

Obvious answer aside, look up the specs of each. I'd guess one is listed to produce more power than the other and will do different 0-60 times. Make a note of those times, run a couple of 0-60's yourself and compare the results.
I'd also guess, from the name, that the Eco model gets better MPG. Compare your real world numbers with the published stats.
