What makes a car fun to drive

If you had to tell a manufacturer how to make a fun car to drive what would you say?

For me it needs to handle really well, have nicely weighted steering and a decent slug of power from quite low down the RPM range.

For me, manual transmission, smooth power band and responsiveness.

I know quite a few who like the smooth power band. For me I quite like the turbo to kick in some way up the rev band and everything to go mental from there on. I think I'm probably in the minority though.
