Thats a nice collection, You got some pretty quick cars quite early on. I might copy this to a new thread as it will be interesting to hear from others....

Yeah, I loved those GTIs, but they all had problems (mostly age related) and never really lasted beyond a year of me thrashing them. The GTIs were in my street racing days.... (yeah yeah, I know, young and dumb etc ;))

My list is not actually that impressive.

Vauxhall Astra 1.4

I see you have a Starion in your driving history as well. Do you remember if it was a wide body or a flatty like my JB and was it Astron = 4G54 or Sirrius powered =4G63 ?

to TCCB
it wasnt wide bodied and to be honest Im not sure which engine it had
@SLEEPER - your neighbours must think you are are car dealer! Do you have any firm favourites?
it would have to be the GTR ,1973 911 and the citroen safari.
The alvis was the nicest to drive by a fair way though and to be fair the if I was to be sensiblle the slk would be in there as well.
forgot an early sunbeam rapier which was good in its day

Legendary suspension on the Safari, and looks stunning even by today's standards.

I'd love a 70's era 911 but not sure I could afford the running costs!

If you have a decent 70s 911 they are pretty unbreakable . If you take the insane incease in value into account there are no running costs .

I has a Ds23 Safai with the larger 2.3 engine . Its was even bigger than the stagea . Not at all quick but an amazing car to drive. Huge estate and the suspension compensates for any load you put in it.

I never looked at it that way but that makes sense. Should I view it as an investment or just a bit of fun at zero cost. In other words do you think the values will keep going up?

I was spectating at a rally and drove a mates Citroen and remember the brake button on the floor that was strange but soon got used to it.

very strange car
zero boy roll and i mean zero, brakes that are really good (for its age) but have far less feel than normal , headlights that follow the car round corners, and of course you can drive it on 3 wheels and quite quickly if it isa back wheel off. finally changing a wheel was interesting but somewhat. bizairre.
best bit has to be th 3 wheel bit - i once drove it around for 2 days , couldnt resist

Beetle 1303s - fully rebuilt, Porsche engine - My first car.
Peugeot 106 GTi
Peugeot 206
Peugeot 306
Renault Clio 172
