what automatic gearbox will fit a Rover v8 apart the the Borg?

Hey can anyone please help I have a Rover v8 but my Borg automatic gearbox is playing up so I was wondering if any other man of automatic box will fit either straight on or with an a adapter plate of some sort, please help

Does it have to be automatic? The R380 & LT77 are other options along with the T5/Tremec but I don't know of many Automatic options - it's just not something I've ever looked into.

TVR & the Rover SD1 had these engines fitted so that might widen your search a little. Some suggest the Cosworth T5 boxes but IIRC there is a lot of work needed on the bell housing to get this to fit properly.

If memory serves me correctly, you can get modified bell housings that would allow you to use different auto boxes on the V8

IV been having a rethink and I might either sell my v8 or use it later on, so I'm thinking of just buying a jaguar s type and use the engine, gearbox and rear axle instead
