So if you've not posted for a while what has been happening car wise in your life?

Any new projects, parts, problems or plans? (Hey that's all P's:D)

Just ordered some BBS CV alloys to shed some unsprung weight. The cheapo RS4 reps I bought are heavy as lead. Once they're done - I want to do suspension.

Doing Brands Hatch for a giggle on 10th June too :)

In a dilema as to buy a integra for just the summer time.If not then i need to get my new lip kit fitted, new fogs and get the alloys re-furbed or purchase new set and put on my car ready for the summer as well as all the decorating needing doing in the house .lol.

My car life might end soon. It's forcast to rain during my track day at brands hatch :amuse:

Ported a spare standard manifold i had and took out a couple of major restrictions, debating weather to whack it on before Le Mans in case i crack the oil return line and cant order a new one, or in case the manifold cracks over in France

Rob Bentley - get some track day insurance cover!;) When are you going? It shouldn't be too risky if you have a good deep tread pattern.

Munday- Depends when you are going to lemans really Munday. If you can give it a good week or so it should shake out the problems but it can be a bit of a risk on such a long journey. Have you got breakdown cover.

I plan to get insurance cover, definatly!

My tyres are some crap falken stuff that came on the replica wheels - they're pretty bad in the wet.

I'm hoping my new wheels/tyres arrive in time!!

Ok mines alot less. finally got a central console about a week ago so been busy with that. currently waiting for the base layer of paint to dry so i can get the second coat on. will get the pics up later

not alot happening in mine tbh, car is running sweeter than ever now after changing plugs, diss pack and securing boost pipe properly

so have decided to sell it lol

fancy a change but not sure what to yet :)

How comes your selling the Scoob? You can't be bored of it already? :sad2:

lol i dunno to be honest, far from bored of it, think i just want sommet bit different again, now that the scoob has its stickers on there aint anything left i wanna do.......

been looking at 3 series bm's over the last couple of weeks and quite liking the idea of one for a couple of months........ then will prob change mind again and get something else.

insurance company love me, have changed car 6 times in the last year so they have had god knows how much out of me for 'change of details' fees lol.

Well im going to Le Mans tomorrow night....no chance of any shakedown testing

Yesterday i noticed my Air/Fuel guage reading pretty damn rich....had it on my old mans emission tester and it was reading 12% CO!!!! My A/F guage lets me see th direct lambda reading and it wasnt switching, so new lambda on the way and hoping to god it arrives by wednesday so i can get it fitted before Le Mans

I just got in the package that contains all my new windows, tracks, and door rubber so will be having fun this weekend. gonna be loosing my truck for a day or so while the new windshield is installed. Great way to spend $2500 on a $500 truck lol

Replaced all the lamps in the rear light clusters yesterday - the indicators were getting pale and all the others getting blackened and dim so I bought a 'consignment' of 380s, 382s etc. and changed all of them. It's such a fiddly process that I felt it easier to do the lot!

Front sidelights were done last year as were the dipped beam lamps (now using Osram Silverstar H7s - previously Nightbreakers but they didn;t last very well.

Main beams and fogs are still using standard halogen lamps.

Bought a pair of own brand retrofit flat wiper blades (24" and 22") from wiperblades.co.uk and fitted these too !!! I'm doing well. And they're brilliant; they work just as well as cars which have flat 'beam' wipers from the factory. Well worth the very low price of seven quid each - that's half the price of Bosch branded standard blades.

That's it apart from adding about a wine glass volume of oil to bring level back to max and fill up screenwash tank.

You feeling ok mate?

I'm still a much better armchair technician than I am proper technician.

Thanks for encouraging me, all the same. This recession we're experiencing might have a few positive points.

HDi is never going to be in a position to rebuild engines but he's getting a bit handy here and there =.

in the past 2 weeks: 7 oil changes (on 7 different cars), fitted my new tien supension and front strut brace on the scooby and also changed all the brake pads.
fitted a new gearbox into the escort after the drive bearings ended themselves. also 2 new wheel bearings on the escort.
so much for my holidays!

well lets see.
i got the jag ready for some welding on the drivers sill and the misses decided the kitchen needed doing, 2 weeks later thats done.
then it rained for a week and i couldn't get the out to work on the car.
finally got started and guess what, the misses decided the conservatory needed re doing.

i will get my car done one day maybe.

just forked out about £850 for a set of new 16" alloys with toyo tyres and getting the car lowered by 25mm

Insurance only went up £89 ... thats it

That's what I thought, I was expecting them to say a couple hundred or something, when they said 89 my jaw nearly hit the floor lol. I wasn't gonna argue

although if I crash they will only replace it to factory standard, but I can live with that.

I'm going to get my bodywork sorted finally. It will be nice to get rid of that dented wing and all the other little scrapes and dinks. I just wonder how much it will cost me.. Time to ring round for quotes.

i ve been busy getting a beating from the quiz site , and trying to seal the rear main on the reddog . In desperation i used a big block 460 rear seal today and will advise if it worked tomorrow .

this arrived morning that i went on holiday

She's also had four new Eagle F1 GS-D3's. Brilliant tyre. Then again so were the P-Zero Rosso's that were on before.

Insurance, tax and MOT is coming up on the Alfa at the end of the month too so spending has stopped on the Punto for a month or two.

Beautiful Alfa MasterAuron - you've just made me jealous.

As for me not too much going on with the car at the moment, just gave it a service all new filters and some decent spark plugs (was checking the car history and found that it hadnt had a spark change since 2004 - you have not seen a gunkier spark plug, yeesh, garages honestly).

Trying to see if i can insure an Alfa i saw recently ( no point shelling out a load of cash if i cant get it on the road )

Where can I start mine was taken off the road in Febuary 2006 following a Topspeed record attempt at Bruntingthorpe & i then decided to develop the car a lot further. The new engine has been dynoed & put in the car & its currently at Spec-R for bespoked Intercooler, Rad, Breather, Turbo Hanger, Strut brace & all tanks in black not Bufty polished Alloy. Its due back next Saturday .
Running in & road mapping then back to the place where the bul**hit really does stop ;).
