Predjudice against engines and transmissions

Which engine types and tranmissions are you so prejudiced against that you would never even consider them?

Fuel types
Diesel
Electric
Hybrid
Petrol

Engines
Rotary
V8
V6
Small (sub 1.4 litre)

Transmission
Manual
Auto
Semi Auto
Paddle shift semi auto
CVT

I am pretty open minded but I will still find it hard to consider a Diesel and an automatic engine. I also avoid big V engines and rotary engines like the plague but mainly due to high running costs.

I will even consider small engines (if they have a turbo or supercharger - or both) and would be prepared to use a paddle shift semi automatic if it was genuinely fast.

What about you? What do you avoid at all costs and what are you willing to consider?

It's funny I wrote this in 2010 and now I'm happily driving a diesel engined car!

I am not prejudiced against anything car wise, transport wise, road wise. Prejudice is silly in any form. It inhibits progress.

Maybe prejudice is the wrong word to use.
These are my choices for now.
In future this could change who knows?

I am not a fan of internal combustion hybrids. If we're going electric then I want all electric.

Yes me too.
I have the same view on automatics.
I don,t mind manual or auto but prefer one or the other.
