Did they do anything on Cetane boosters for diesel engines?

Not to my knowledge.

NOTE the higher octane fuel will have a lesser octane improvement with any booster.
Octane boosters slow down the burn rate.

For example a 91 RON may go to say 96 RON and a 98 RON to app 101 RON

People still struggle to think of diesels as performance cars but they have come a long way.

Diesel is a slow burning fuel hence the torque produced and octane boosters slow the burn as well to help ward off the onset of detonation.
