I have just joined, I live in Oxfordshire UK and currently have a 2009 Jaguar XF 3.0 D with 85,000 miles on the clock. Only had it for 6 months and prior to that I had a 1999 XJ8 4.0 with LPG conversion for 7 years and loved that car!
Looking to soon change the cam belt, already had the gearbox oil changed and put new brake pads on all round. Concerned about the DPF as I don't do many long journeys any more now I'm retired.

Hi and welcome to the TC forum.
DPFs can be a troublesome. You can risk having it removed but this is illegal and expensive if caught although many have done it. Alternatively put a bottle of BG244 cleaner in the tank each service and this will help lower the burn temperature of the carbon build up to help clear the filter plus clean through the whole fuel system. Get on EBay through our link here

Try this once in a while to keep the DPF clear
