Hi
I have an mgf LHD down on the costa blanca in Spain . As I am going to live down there most of the time I have now starting to add a few mods some cosmetic, like Lexus lights, some to help performance such as, front trophy style spoiler, bigger throttle body and sports SS exhaust.
however the MOT centre put an advisory on my last test re noise, even though its not one of the noisier exhausts.
My question is do the noise control valves work and can any one recommend one, I have seen APEXI on ebay.
I would like to do more performance mods but no point if I cant get the noise sorted.
I would get a standard exhaust and swop every mot test, but a bit of a pain.

You might getaway with an expansion box mid way down the exhaust, it will reduce the noise without adversely affecting the air flow.

Thanks, I will check out not too much length in an mgf but there always away round these things.

I have seen on the net exhaust baffle to cut down noise that can be opened and closed manually anyone used one of these things?
