My latest safety upgrade

I have just bought a HANS DEVICE plus a compatible BELL full face helmet and decided to also buy a HANS compatible 5 point harness as well as they have the shoulder straps reduced to 2 inch for a better fit to hold the device to the body,

Not cheap, but what price your life? Only buy a £50 helmet for a £50 head

Had a 3inch 4 point harness and an approved helmet but it was not compatible with the HANS so had to upgrade my helmet.
I could have kept my original 3inch harness as it was ok to use but thought why not upgrade it as well?.

Am getting better with attaching the helmet to the HANS tethers as well as undoing them.

You can have it all together before you put it on but I was advised to put the HANS on first so I could see the harness buckle as the full face helmet prevents this then put on the helmet and clip on the tether buckles and reverse order when taking it off.

Are you able to sell your old equipment Rad to help soften the financial blow?

I think my son wants the belts as he is building a 142 Volvo with 2.3 turbo power as he is tired of waiting for "his inheritance" = my car.
