Most pointless features in a car

the flash on central locking is for the car theives to know you have locked the doors. Cause they always sit their, wait for your return and then rob your car lmao Pffft................
 
I'm not entirely sure. My car does it too - I think its the 'cool factor'... or 'man have race-car' but in reality its a completely useless feature which serves no purpose other to confirm my rev counter can get round to RPM's that would see the engine explode into a cloud of components.
 
Why is the top speed always much higher than a typical car can ever hope to reach? Surely they should just stop at 70 mph.
