Miles driven on a tank!

How many miles do you get on a typical tank full?

I'm averaging about 500 miles, mostly urban driving so I'm quite pleased with that. The car usually says on a full tank I have 650 miles to go.

My old car which is the same as the one i have now but with about 100bhp less used to do around about 320 miles to a full tank with mostly motoway driving.
Not tested my new one yet but im guessing it will be either the same or slightly less. Not built for getting impressive mpg figures though so i dont get too upset with it. We have a 2 litre focus TDi for most journeys

Used to be 330 in my Quattro - £93 to fill it up! Fun but pretty costly!

Got a Peugeot 508 1.6 HDi on loan. Suggests 800 on a tank. Not sure of the capacity but reset both trip recorders and I am AVERAGING 64MPG!!!!

Not bad and it's more than lively enough for general driving

Don't get me wrong, it's not a performance diesel, it's a true eco. 0-60 something like 11 seconds

After a remap I'm tootling over the 500 miles to a tank mark. I suspect if I made long motorway journeys up and down the country I could probably push further still. Not bad for a 3.0

On BP fuel I average between 300 - 380 miles to a full tank. Not bad really...
