M20 operation stack night mare

It took me 4.5 hours to do a 45 minute journey last night!

There was an accident on the M20 and then we hit operation stack and the roads just didn't move an inch for 3 hours! Finally we got out taking a short cut through country roads.

Not good! Really really tired and exhausted.

It's so frustrating when you're stuck on a motorway and can't get anywhere.

You start fantasising about just driving up the banking, across the field and onto that road you can see.

I saw all this last night.. I was going the other way on the M20 fortunately which was flowing perfectly OK, then got off at Junction 8 and the roundabout by the services was Chaos. They where directing cars away from joining the motorway coast bound and only allowing trucks to queue.

I feel your pain Obi, that's just not funny at all

These days it would seem you cannot venture onto the motorway even for the shortest journey; unless of course you have been to the toilet first and checking that your fuel tank is full to the brim just in case
