How important is driving to your life, lifestyle and livelihood?

If you didn't need to drive would you still keep a car on the road for fun and recreation? (Assume a fantasy world where public transport was perfect ie efficient and cost effective or you could hail a free driver and taxi service within a few minutes.)

If I had to stop driving and competing then I would probably age faster as Motorsport and driving is my chosen pastime and intend to enter events for as long as possible.
