Hi I have got the Lexus ls460 19 inch alloys running on 245.35.19 on my ls400 but find them very hard, feeling every bump, the overall diameter is 30mm smaller than the 225.60.16 originals so I was thinking of increasing the profile to about 245.45.19.
would that work to make the car drive more comfortable, all comments welcome.

Try dropping the tyre pressure a little.

Are you on stock suspension? The 19's are quite harsh on most cars, try the Eagle F1's - they sorted out a harsh ride on one of my cars, but they didn't wear for long and needed replacing. Soft rubber is the way to go if your ride is too harsh and you've sorted the suspension and everything else.

The bushes perish on those after about 5 years, have these been replaced? That might help soften things up for you.

Thanks for your reply
Yes I am on stock suspension, the bushes haven't been replaced since I have had the car, as for dropping the tyre pressure I will give that a try.
