I don't know how the law is in Guernsey mate, but I'm pretty sure in the UK import plates are illegal.

As Guernsey is still part of the UK, UK registration laws operate as far as I am aware. Plates have to meet very strict criteria which no foreign plates meet as far as I know.

We might be talking about the Square jap plates here rather than different lettering etc...

What sort of plates are you after then? Is it the shape or lettering or both and are these for road use or show use?

Sometimes the square ones are called "4X4" plates, I should imagine because some 4X4 have them on the back.
